I saw Gogol open for Primus kinda recently and that show was great so .. I had them on my radar but wasn't sure if I could make it. ANywayz. Shows are more about the adventure for me .. last night was a last second decision to go .. so .. solo trip!! Got there earlyish for pregame, started slammin beers and smoking a lil .. not too many cars partying but there were a few. Security dude came by and says you can't drink alcohol in the parking lot .. so I slam my beer .. he leaves .. open another one. Whatevs. Anyway, it was fixing to rain and then this van cruises by and this chick says .. free ticket. I was like hellz to the yeah. So, they hook me up. They were from CA, GA and TN. I was like .. interesting combo of states. I thank them all individually and we all walk in. Very cool people.

Wasn't too interested in the opening band so I cruise out to the smoking section. This chick asks for a cigarette so I oblige .. she has a neat accent so I ask where her and her friend are from. Flight attendants from Munich, Germany here for the evening! I was like .. hrmmmmm!! We talk for a while. Very cool plus pretty and I love talking with peeps from other countries. Talked about all kinds of stuff including David Hasselhoff, LOL. Then one had to go to the restroom, really, so I cooly said .. I'll check you guys inside. Of course, there were so many people, I didn't see them again. I was like .. darn it!!(at the end of the night). I need to learn to start closing the deal .. soon. So, I talk with a few guys who were pretty funny .. this tattoo'd up birthday chick who was also pretty and her friends. Fun times.

Then .. go inside for the Gogol show. Holy Carp! Very high energy show!! Band is jumping all over the place .. crowd goes pretty crazy with a pit even. I love their sound, like Eastern European Ska, with heavy parts .. kinda. Gypsy Punk according to Wiki. I'm not all that familiar with their music except a few songs which doesn't matter much since it's still fun time music. Imma download some soon. Lotsa cool looking chicks in the crowd and a really good ratio. Jumping and dancing all night! So much fun!!

So, after the show was over .. I go check out the shirts. The chick that gave me the ticket was there and she was broke so .. I bought her a shirt. Gotta keep the good ticket karma going. It's all good. Hung out outside for a while, keeping an eye out for the German chicks. Spoke to a red head for a lil while .. she paid me a compliment which made me feel good so I complimented her back. Soon, things will be different but still a little too early .. if you catch meh drift.

Anywayz .. soo glad I went. Twas a really great evening. Live life kinda night. I will never miss a Gogol show in meh town in the future.

yes!! i knew you'd have a good time if you went. i think it's impossible to not have fun at a gogol show. hopefully they'll make another pass thru nc once i'm down there and we can party it up together.

ooh, that's a tough call. i'm thinkin either the first one or last one.

Sooo .. the chick that turned me onto NIN long ago .. and the Cure, actually. We even went to that NIN club show together when they opened up for The Jesus and Mary Chain. The original TGWLtC even .. Her mom passed. We lived in the same neighborhood in high school so I hung out there quite a bit. Her mom was always nice to me and never passed judgement even though I looked like a complete hoodlum back then. I respected that. Imma go to the memorial next week. I haven't seen the original TGWLtC in forever .. will be nice to catch up and support her.

A particular person in my life doesn't want me to go cuz she's always been jealous of her, for whatever reason, but Imma go anyway. Fu-ck That!

On a more happy note .. 3 day weekend!!! Pool time!!

Woo Hoo! First official weekend of summer! Time to start grillin' and stuff.

Yeah .. change of plans. I'll be looking for an apartment this weekend instead. I will be checking out those pools though .. for future relaxation. I'll have tan lines soon enough.
