Butternut squash ravioli for dinner tonight, with snow peas. Or leftover pizza. No, ravioli. Yeah. Thanks for the good wishes for Dad Bink *hugz peeps*. I'm sure everything will be fine, but I'm also sure I'll be a nervous wreck until I have him back to his house, safe & sound. Tans, huh? I don't have one . I have no issue at all with other peoples' tans, but to really judge them, I need to see tan *lines*, you see, so I can tell just how dark it is. Just sayin'
My concert calendar's gotten a bit of a boost this month. Still no Outside Lands single day tix, but BFD tix go on sale tomorrow, and we're going  ! Jane's Addiction, Cake, Garbage, Silversun Pick-Ups and Angel & Airwaves for the win! Plus a bunch of local and smaller bands and a dj tent that I'll probably ignore. That'll actually be a pretty exhausting weekend, because BFD will run until 11pm-12am, then we have a day baseball game to go to the next day. Bummer
Got to go out to lunch today for Admin Professionals Day or whatever it's called. Mmmmm, beer. And turkey burger. And beer. Just sayin' . This Sat. I'm going to see my boss' band over in SF. If I help roadie I don't have to drive, which is sweet. Means I have to hang out over there until, oh, 1am. Bummer. So why isn't it Friday already??? Bummer. Just sayin'. | |

BFD .. FTW!
Those festivals are pretty long .. hard to keep an attention span. Then, you get all burned out by the time the headliner comes on. That's cool you get to drink beer on a work lunch. It's very much frowned upon in my environment. Boo .. Frowns!! I'll have to send you a pic of meh tan lines then Bink. Lemme wait until the summer though .. more contrast.
Imma go zen fishing tomorrow .. clear meh head .. get in touch with nature .. contemplate life .. whilst jammin to the NiNPod. Should be a nice day ..

Mz Freeeeeeeeeeeee has headed off into the sunset on a wild concert adventure. Or a sunrise. She didn't say on FB what time the flight was, to be honest
. But I think it's the grand Avenged 7Fold tour she was chatting about. Hope she has a great time and makes it back safe & sound w/lots of sordid tales

Did I mention my boss is pretty danged cool? He is. I consider him a friend more than a boss. I've generally been really lucky with where I've worked since I got out of college (knock on wood [no, not THAT wood!]). BFD tix are purchased. The pre-sale lower section was sold out in about 2 seconds, but I got a pair in the front row of the upper level . I think those'll be good because they'll be shaded most of the day, and it's the same general area we had for the Wave Goodbye tour (sigh). On the downside, we might have to deal with folks wandering back and forth in front of us. Guess we'll find out in June .
I made some very tasty sangria last weekend. Still have some too. If you drop by in the next day or so you can help me finish it! | |

I feel less shouty today. Less stress at work I guess. Its so weird - when my boss is in a bad mood, I get stressed out. He took today off, so I'm fine. Cuckoo, cuckoo!! Last time I had anesthesia was when I had my wisdom teeth out. Pretty weird feeling, coming out of that. The surgeon seemed to want to rush me out pretty quick once I opened my eyes. Unfortunately for him my mom had taken me in, and when I walked into the door trying to leave she told the dr. that if I couldn't stay in a bed to come around she was going to leave me in the waiting room. We left again about 90 minutes later .

Good for your mom bink! I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 17. That was weird because I wasn't totally asleep just kinda far out there.
They gave me Percocet, which I tried to take and they made my heart feel funny, so I switched to Lortab and have no problem. They make you a little sleepy which is good because I can only sleep on my back for now,I don't want to roll over on my tummy. Oh, and today is my four year anniversary as being a member of NIN.com!
