On the travels .. Well, I did have one fantastically fun night thanks to Rana. Damn, that was really fun. Uh .. to clarify .. party hopping all over the city was fun. I was a gentleman NiNNie .. with just a few notty thoughts.

Thanks guys!!! Well I couldn't do much unfortunately because since it was Easter the malls and stuff were closed. So John and I just hung out at my mom's watching baseball and eating.

It was still a lot of fun, just being in the ballpark again. And they have an awesome new beer - Lagunitas' Wilco Tango Foxtrost. Very hoppy, a bit sweet, just flat out yummy

Ooooo .. sports. Baseball .. there's still like 158 games left. Holy carp! I pull for the Rays .. just cuz .. Looking forward to the Olympics this year .. in HD. Hope there are some hawt swimmers in those high tech swim suits. OH. And Female Beach Volleyball. AwwwwwYYeeaaahhh!!
Which reminds me .. Football season tickets payment is due this month. Dang eet!! I'm probably locked out of the Disc Golf World Championships this summer in my town. Long story but didn't earn enough points last year cuz I only played 3 sanctioned events. So, I have to get on the waiting list May 1st. If not, I guess I'll help out. More Dang Eeet!! Anyone heard any good new music lately?? I haven't got nuthin for a while .. can't remember the last thing I DL'd. The summer shows are kinda lame this year. No new music here, I'm afraid. Not sure why, just haven't been paying attention lately I guess. New Silversun Pickups out next month, I'm happy about that, and a new Garbage cd soon. Get to go see The Bad Plus (kind of avant jazz) Friday night, that'll be cool. Black Keys are next month, and they'll announce the Outside Lands line-up soon. I hate festivals, but if there's someone good on the bill I might have to go. DANG EETT!! Oh, and I get to go to the art museum and see a Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit on Memorial Day, how's that for laa dee da ?

Feeling meh today, but wanted to stop by. So glad you had fun @ Candlebox, Peace, and that the weather was so perfect for you Bunneh. I hope Grandma Bunneh had a really nice birthday, too! Had a very productive weekend, finishing some gifts and doing some gardening. Bad Plus on Friday was really good, as was the pub trip afterward. If any of y'all are ever in town I'll take you to The Trappist, fantastic pub in Old Downtown Oakland. Time to check my email again. I hate waiting for news via email | |

I'm still going to try to take a pic of all my NIN shirts for you guys to see. The problem is that my moms cats would have a field day walking all over them. I might have to put them in the basement.
Grandma bunneh did have a nice b-day. Mom made her a coconut custard pie and I got her Tab soda, her favorite but she thinks it's too expensive so she won't buy it herself. So my surgery might happen sooner than I thought. Instead of June they want to do it May 1st. I kinda want to get it over with and didn't want to do it in the middle of summer. | |

Sometimes I wonder .. when people see the NIN sticker on meh VW .. if anyone gets excited. No one ever pulls up and gets my attention. But, I am a lil bit scary lookin' .. with my shades and driving face.

(and you aren't scary looking, not even a little) Grandma Bunneh sounds rather like my Grandma Bink. She's not big on sodas, but she thinks other things she likes are too expensive to enjoy all the time. This would make sense, except that her favorite thing is grapefruit. Really Grandma? You're 90+, don't worry about saving for the future !

Hope your surgery goes well, Bunneh, and I'd tend to agree - get it out of the way as soon as feasible! I was waiting for surgery news in my email the other day. No, no, not for me. Daddy Bink has an abdominal aortic aneurysm (impressive, huh), and needs to have it repaired. I'll be up in scenic WA for a week while he's in hospital and then over Mothers Day weekend while he starts recovering. It all should go very smoothly, but still . . . Bad Plus are teh awezum. Their own music is fantastic, but their cover of Velouria is what got my attention first. They used to cover a Nirvana song too, Lithium I think? Anyway, they're different, they put on a great show, and I can't recommend them enough
My concert calendar is still sparse at best. The Black Keys, then nothing. But they've just announced the bands for Outside Lands, and when single day tickets go on sale I am so going! I almost bought a 3 day pass today, but I don't think I have that much stamina. Hate festivals  . But geez, Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder, Sigur Ros, Jack White, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Beck (with JMJ, thankyouverymuch) . . . and Metallica???

I hear ya on festivals. I prefer a headliner and a once in a while decent opening band .. myself. Nice line up though!! I found that .. Year Zero, believe it or not .. is a really good album for scrambling your brain whilst cranking up the NiNPod .. And interfering with thoughts. Fer real. All the heavy electronica .. bzzzwizitpowglop-huh?. Thanks for the hugz peeps. I think I am starting to come out .. but still near the bottom. As long as I'm going upwards .. that's cool with me. | |
