Sigh. Trying too hard, I think. I get on a plane tomorrow morning no matter what, so I can't get everything done. And really, who other than me cares if the bathroom gets cleaned  ?!?!?! Exactly!
So I'm gonna go drop Lulu off at Deb's, come home, and have beer. Yup. And lock the suitcase so I can't obsessively check it over and over. And then, I'll go to bed early so I can get up at 4:30, but of course I'll wake up at like 3am worrying about some dumb stuff. Sigh. I are a dork . | |

Just a quick check in on ma peeps, from the wilds of Oly, WA. Dad Bink is finally feeling much better; the surgery went well last week, but he's been in some pain and not quite himself ever since he was released. I *think* we've turned the corner though. Mom Bink has, of course, been a worried wreck all this time. Think I'll take her out shopping this afternoon. I'm just really tired. But relieved

Thanks for the good wishes, guyz {{{ma peeps}}} . Dad Bink was back to making dopey jokes and bad puns yesterday, so I think we're gonna be ok. Mom's still stressed, but now it's more "god how am I gonna keeping him from killing himself??" as opposed to "dear god, please let this go well!!". It's progress! She really liked the shopping, though 
I'm still exhausted. On a scale of 1 (laying on a beach) to 10 (working a coal mine), I'm thinking this "vacation" rates about an 8. Fortunately the bosses knew why I was out, and they tried to keep things in order for me. Still, I've got a mountain of paper on my desk right now. SIGH. I love Disneyland. It's my fav place *evah*. I hope you have fun, Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuben .
I have to try and remember to go track down a bootleg of that Black Keys show I went to before I left town. Oh! Concert calendar has expanded again, with Florence & the Machines in Oct. Mell-oooooooooooooooooooooow . . . Still need to unpack my suitcase. Better get to that before I make dinner (cheese tortellini with spinach marinara sauce). Yeah, Oct is a long way off, but you gotz to buy the tix when you can! There are loads of bands coming to town this summer, but most are playing Outside Lands or BFD, sticking to the festivals. I've never been to DisneyWorld. Someday . . . . Anybody got Memorial Day plans? Me either, unless you count going to a museum special exhibit. SF clears out on holiday weekends, so it ought to be empty enough that we actually see the clothes! Chinese for dinner tonight - steamed swiss chard, pork buns, pot stickers. Yummy! I like the idea of TR & Atticus doing the Jobs soundtrack! Of course, that's probably 4-5 years away, the way Hollywood works. So, anybody in here know anything about breast reconstruction? Don't worry - mine are fine!! Or so I've heard . A friend of mine is having surgery next month, and she's trying to figure out whether to go with saline or silicon.

I went to DisneyWorld when I was 9 and I still have my Mickey ears with my name on them.
It would be fun to go back someday! Sorry bink, I don't know much about saline or silicon. So far, no plans for Memorial Day. Hopefully gettin my tan on. MMMMMMMM, I've never heard of pork buns but they sure do sound yummy.

Pork buns rule, Bunneh. Fluffy soft dough wrapped around Chinese bbq pork bits, with just a little Chinese mustard to dip them in. Steamed, not baked. YUMMERS!!! 
Now I'm hungry again! Haven't been keeping up w/the Mac rumors, Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuben, but I'd guess that 3/4 of what you've heard will come true. I think I can get another year or two out of my little ol'Macbook yet, but I have to admit to some computer envy when I got to play with Deb's work Mac Air. Sigh. Broken. Always Broken .
