Ok ... Rob Sheridan appreciation.
The man has amazing versatility ... literary pieces (check Demonbaby), sketching, digi art, photography (check www.rob-sheridan.com for his REALLY good stuff), web design, film directing, graphic design and 'making things' (check his Sketchblog for an awesome Halloween head he made a while back).
He serves as a learning tool through his Sketchblog site where you can follow step-by-step how he creates his artwork. I know 2 people that regularly check this site as a means to further their own art studies (on my own recommendation). His instructional posting is down to earth and personable ... not wanking or self appreciating, just a selfless giving of himself.
His art on Sketchblog is full of intricate detail and superb colour blending. It reaches into you as if he was inside your life and your head when he created the images. In his art he shows the spoilt child who, to it's own detriment, must have all it sees, the devastating grief of a mother's loss, the unnecessary fear we place in our childrens' dreams. It is real and a part of the depths of each of us.
To actually hold his art in your hand and feel the textures and soak up the colours is to see art for the first time.
His customer service is impeccable ... his deliveries prompt, his product exceeding expectations, his contact personal.
He is loyal (check his 'owning' of Kqueenkitty) and honest (he sends back money when you pay him too much for his art) and respectfully private (no bigmouth blabbing about who he knows and what they have for breakfast) and always thoughtful towards the fans (ya gotta love those crowd shots so we can pick ourselves out and show our friends).
Oh yeah ... AND HE'S CUTE !!!
Proud to be fangirl ...
