I live 10 miles from work, a 20-minute drive, but it would take an hour and a half and three buses to get there via public transit. There was a documentary in the 80s called "You Can't There From Here".

It took about four days for my pants to dry hanging on the shower rail. We will eventually get a small dryer that we have to pick up somewhere in New Jersey.
