Google is celebrating 10 years of existance, and in the process is giving people the opportunity to google search the way it was in January 2001. So I did a search for nine inch nails, and this came up:

http://web.archive.org/web/20010823055316/www.nin.com/

Oh my gosh!!! I totally remember that site layout. A few years before that was when I started using the handle "TheInnocent9" on the nin forums back then. Holy Cripes, that is a long time ago.

I am not sure if this will take you any further back, but WayBackMachine.com also lets you search through past websites, from what I have searched it isn't really complete, but it's good enough.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

haha, oh man. this thread rocks simply for that link to the past. i was such an innernets n00b those days but remember lookin at that layout every day. i also had an accnt on the old boards which sucked. imo, my favorite layouts are TF and AATCHB/things falling apart era. sure they weren't as user friendly as the current one. but idk, they had more originality about em. there's plenty of cool stuff now though like the galleries, chat, etc. but it feels like i have to purchase something or bid on a forum member :/
then again, i'm a sucker for tasteful simplicity and pre-AWATA art so *shrug*

thx OP winking smiley

man, i can remember checking out the old Fragile era site on my dad's office desktop at Hunter College. i love the aesthetic of that phase of NIN.

fuck, that brings back memories; first time i saw NIN was may... '00. the Madison Sq. Garden show, the one Manson came on stage during Starfuckers. what a mindblowing show that was.

being in college, going to the show with my friends and my old girlfriend; dousing each other with talcum powder outside the garden... those were good fucking times.

every album, and almost every song, has some memory interwoven with the music; i couldn't begin to imagine my life without NIN in it.

What's cool is on the W_T site you can read the Access questions and there still wasn't a Performance tour. You can see all the posters for each tour stop <------ That is awesome.

anyone else here down to start a petition for trent to do a fragile revisited tour or something of the sort?

the fragile (both the album and song) are IMO the pinnacle of trent's work, with just about everything else he's done following not too far behind

Yeah, I'm down man.

Leading up to 2001 I listened to NIN only in spurts and shortly after realized I actually like it. My first purchase was the Fragile, enhanced by a strong belief that this may very well be the cornerstone of his legacy.
I don't believe that as strongly today because I'm becoming unbiased to his moods/work.

But yeah a throwback tour sounds good.

Quite the change. 2001 seems like it was forever ago, what the hell happened?

I liked the burning into "bleedthrough/with teeth" nin.com page and the weirdo "secret link" in the corner.

Sorry to revive an old thread. I'm not new around here, I just don't play around on the forums much. I am trying to find the Fan cam videos the nin had on the spiral or nin.com.During the Fragility tour 2.0. At the beginning and ending of the shows they took cam videos and later released them on the website.

Does anyone know where to find these? I've been searching around the forum on any info but I haven't found anything more relevant than this thread.

Thanks grinning smiley

Wow.. this takes me back. It's so cool seeing all this load up on my screen again! I even remember that page of the "current" section! Holy crap.

Ah, Nothing Records, we hardly knew ye.. :-p

Oh wow, I remember this! I got into NIN at school (95?) and don't even remember if they had a site back then. But THIS site, I DO remember!!!

09/25/09 5:20 AM

jason patterson's page was the officially sanctioned nin page before nin had a proper site of its own (early 2000ish)

I wish that Nine inch Nails would go back to the band it was in 2000, when they would play venues like the UIC pavilion in Chicago instead of making fans fight over their tickets with scalpers to see a farewell show in a small venue. Instead, we get a string of cities that NIN feels like goin to for more intimate shows (which I get), and music festivals, so we can put up with the bullshit of other bands until NIN comes onstage. Seriously, I missed out on Nine inch Nails at Bonnaroo because I got sick. I waited til Saturday night to see them and walking to see all the other bands in the heat made it impossible. I nearly died of heat stroke. Quite literally. So, I guess I'm just bitter I didn't get a chance to see one of the farewell shows because of constant bad circumstances, even though I've been a fan since I was like 11 years old, and I'm 27 now. Saddest part, I can't even listen to Nine inch Nails anymore. Just bums me out. Anyways, I know this isn't on topic, just felt like getting this off my chest, even if this is ignored or deleted, whatever. This is just me complaining. Sorry.

10/18/09 5:28 PM

it's the band's fault because they wanted to do something different, and that you couldn't get your shit together. i see!

Exactly.

I didn't think it was possible to get banned from the old boards, what with there being absolutely NO moderation existing there.

SUAP!Cum Rom forever!!!! Phuny! smiling smiley Yeah there was no banning at the old dboards.. haha.. that's why we were so bad back then.

03/22/12 10:01 PM

Nah brah.....the boards circa 2005-2007 were the best ones. Anddd you know it. Same can be said about the band, the parties, the tours, the line up, all of it.
