Since I'm unsure where you got lost, I'll just start from the beginning:
- Some really stupid questions were asked in the Digg Dialogg, so Trent said he'd answer some "true fan" questions and that he wanted us to organise ourselves.
- There was a public outcry over the meaning of "true fan"
- People posted a bunch of stupid questions in a dedicated "post your questions here" thread. (Except for the people who are still posting questions in the wrong thread.)
- the nin.com mods decided a committee should be elected to select 20(ish) questions that would then go to a
public nin.com members public poll to get the 10 "best" questions.
- There was a public outcry over the meaning of "self organise"
- nin.com members nominated/voted on a committee, which was supplemented by a few mod-selected mods.
- There was a public outcry because the nomination instructions weren't clear.
- The committee
threw out all the questions and made up their own sorted through 500+ stupid questions and came up with 23 passable questions.
- There was a public outcry because some people didn't like the questions chosen, and some people accused the committee of various wrongdoings, despite no-one ever mentioned giving the committee any guidelines.
- The 23 questions went to a public poll for 48(?) hours and the 10 questions were determined.
- There was a public outcry, where several people gave their opinions on the questions selected, far too late to do any good.
- There was also
an unofficial poll, which has yielded a fair selection of questions which may indicate that there was no need for a committee.
- The nin.com mods asked people for input as to which mod should conduct the video interview with Trent: no-one really cared, so they chose Papagolash.
- There was a public outcry over Papagolash's health and finances.
- Trent is currently waiting for Papagolash to find time in his schedule to do the interview. (or something like that anyway.)
Future:
- Interview video is posted.
- There is a public outcry because Trent avoided answering every single question and we don't actually learn anything or get the answers we want and this whole thing was a complete waste of time.
- Trent decides never to do agree to this kinda thing ever again.
(Note: this post may contain several attempts at humour, your personal experience may vary.)
