Remix maybe,but I joined TS in 05.


What I would like to see is color separating stickies from regular posts. Like a darker gray. And a New Post alert would be awesome.

an IRC-chat suggestion:

channels for several languages besides english, like french, german, spanish etc. not everybody speaks english good enough to participate or follow the really fast conversations, and private chats with "just" one other fellow native speaker are nice but not the "real deal".

The Party Room is pretty much anything goes, it's a place for people to vent their sillyness (as long as it doesn't break any forum rules). General discussion is mainly for topics that aren't really suitable for any other place of the board. Basically, just a more firmly moderated version of The Party Room (not as much sillyness).

Most of the forums will be up for viewing for the general public without membership but there will be a few forums that can only be viewed by members. Right now the NSFW Room and in the future the Collector's Forum will also be member only.

I would love it if you could integrate some option to put a "now listening to" widget on our profile - like last.fm, or whatever. Obviously it's entirely superficial and wouldn't exactly affect the running of the site, but I think it'd be a nice little added feature.

edit: also do we have to have all of this "edited by" malarky? Every time I make a typo it's such a fuss just to fix it.

Firefox has a "remember me" function...newest version will bring up a little prompt at the top of the screen every time you enter a username and password into a website for the first time. IIRC, you can select yes, no or "never for this site."

A couple of suggestions...I think you should be able to enter your own text in the gender and orientation fields in your profile if you select "other" (much like you can with religious and political views). At the very least, it should say "other" when you select that option instead of simply remaining blank. May be just me, but if I have to affix labels to myself, I like to come up with them myself.

I think the "contact info" on the profiles should have a field for ICQ.

oh, and it would be nice to have the german keyboard layout available for the chat flash client, if you know what i mean

It would be nice to have a way, when we are looking at the list of subforums, to see which threads have been closed/locked without actually clicking on them. Maybe have a lock icon or something on the thread face, rather than making readers click and waste time on a "useless" thread.

This is being worked on right now. In the future threads that are closed will read "Locked:" in front of the topic.

for individual users, you can see their latest posts in their profile for now. im sure it will be avaliable elsewhere eventually.

im messing with it right now, i'll see.

here is what i got:

go to profile
in the add module, click forum, then click add
your recent posts box should appear

the box is there, but the recent posts dont seem to be, so im assuming it's a bug at the moment.

I know that with the old boards there was really no way to have topic reply emails sent to you because of the whole pain-in-the-ass login stuff, but that would be a great feature t have here if we could.

I know this is completely frivolous at this point... but I might like to see some more custom emoticons, or at least ones that are more appropriate to the topic at hand. An AIR flag emoticon would be cool, for example.

I mean, I'm sure this:

smileys with beer

will get tons of use, but variety is nice too.

I think you guys should open forums/threads for "jokes"/comedic video clips and a place where we could post articles/reviews/interviews of the tours and NIN in general, please. Just something that struck me as missing on the forum (Fans seem to really enjoy both topics on the blog)

hello RobGenius... guessing this is the place to put in suggestions:

fields to add to the contact info buttons
1 - Vimeo -- possible to add a field for videos there?
2 - Virb -- another AMAZING site that looks amazing from the PV people

Also, maybe in the about me section a "links" option or a few blank fields where we can put in our own superlatives?

I'd like to put a few fields that maybe everyone else wouldn't want:
favourite photography site -
favourite online record store -
favourite porn site -

Yeah, but that only shows the last couple. I'm talking about the links that actually show you every single post/thread a person has made. It makes searching a lot easier.
