Spelling Error on NIN Merchandise Forum

There is a spelling error on the merchandise link here: NIN Clearance Merchandise. The link on the bottom-right says: "Nin Dissonace Performance Combo", instead of "Nin Dissonance Performance Combo".

Better to be helpful than ignorant.

I'm not trying to be critical, I'm just pointing out a mistake so someone can correct it. Yet it's not getting corrected. Trent is apparently off making babies ... who the fuck is running this place?

Whoah! Only 2 posts in and already speculating about Trent's sex life! You got some balls, my friend.

PS - On one of the tshirts in the merch section, instead of it having the NIN logo, it says NIP, and someone photoshopped PLE at the end. Who the fuck is running this place? Lolz.

The merch site is run by merch.com and not the nin.com site admins.

No, not really. It is an illusion.

Did you see the WaveGoodbye Club Dates Shirt?? They played New York and LA on the same days according to the dates on the back. Seems like someone would have checked before THEY PRESSED THE GO BUTTON.

Whatever .. still like it. At least the Show Specific shirts came out right.

merch.com has had it misspelled for years [web.archive.org] ... highly unlikely that you're going to see something so minor being fixed. There have been other errors at merch.com, too... but they don't impact the sales, so it's not really worth it, is it?

I would argue that it does impact the sales, indirectly. I think a websites look says a lot about a company (even minor details like grammatical errors), and that reflects in sales by how well they can attract customers.

Besides, it's not a very difficult fix. It's probably a two-minute change in some dynamic html generating script somewhere.

^ Yes, things like that do impact sales. Personally, if I find consistent errors on a website I'm wondering how professional they are & they aren't getting my money.

@ fluidillusion:
And i find it annoying when someone complains about grammatical errors when 3 (out of 4) of their personal posts have grammatical errors.
@ forkintheeye:
I agree with your statement. However, we aren't discussing consistent errors.

One NIN shirt is misspelled. If someone doesn't want to buy a shirt from merch.com because an 'N' is missing in the database entry or because when hovering a mouse over the left nav menu will display "mens clothing" on all but the "all items" and "clearance" sections... then so be it. I don't have data to prove it, but my guess is merch.com sales haven't been impacted by these errors. I know I have and will continue to happily buy NIN merch from merch.com.

Continuous, then. You said there have been other errors before.

I would classify it as the occasional error. They mostly aren't noticeable to the average looker on. The errors have been "under the hood" so to speak.
I'm not going to attempt to list every error; I'm sure there have been some that I've missed. In addition to the two already listed above, here's a couple examples:

1. [reference the NIN PERFECT DRUG L/S T WHITE - click on it... there isn't a larger image on merch.com. Instead, the larger image of the S/S was used.]

2. a couple image file names have had .jpg in them. [reference]

3. At least one item has the purchase button enabled, but isn't found at merch.com/nineinchnails. Is it order-able?... Is the mistake on the product page, or is it a mistake not being listed on the catalog pages? [reference] (navigating to other individual product pages for items not in stock won't have the purchase button enabled.)

Hey chief, I believe "I" is supposed to be capitalized.
