Try and be as specific as possible: What device are you using, which software version are you running, is your device jailbroken, what specifically were you doing when you encountered an issue, etc.

Bug report: iPhone 3GS OS4, App now crashes while opening; before OS4 new media notifications would not go away when viewed, more specifically, wallpapers or images.

I recently downloaded the new iPhone 4 iOS update for my iPhone 3GS, and it won't even open the app. I have looked at ratings for the app and iTunes and it appears that this may be a widespread issue.

Anyone else having similar problems with the new update?

It's all good now, NIN put a postcon Facebook saying that they were working on a new update for the app asap.

I recently downloaded the iphone v4 software and the nin app won't open on the home screen. pretty miffed. It's not the sort of thing you'd expect from itunes

Same thing here. New iPhone 4 running OS4, and the NIN app doesn't launch. The same thing happened on my old 3GS after I upgraded to OS4.

I just downloaded the new version of the app on my iPhone 4. I can open the app just fine now, but it crashes when I try to open a news item to read the full story.

iPhone 3GS OS v4.0.2

I'm getting a volume bug when listening to tracks via the Media->Music->"any song" with the standard iphone 3gs headphones.

I can start a song, it will download and play, and I can change the volume using both the keys on the iphone and on my headphones. As soon as the phone locks itself i am no longer able to change the volume using the phone volume keys or the headphone volume keys.

When i unlock the phone by pressing the home key and then moving the slider across the screen, the volume jumps to a certain level, and will then not move. I can press the volume up/down keys on the phone and the headphone cable, and i get the graphic on screen showing headphones volume going up and down, but the volume doesnt actually change.

there are two interesting bugs in the media section.

all songs from the albums playlists work with the exeption of still and the slip. when trying to stream still the media browser alerts "attempt to stream audio failed". when trying to play any track from the slip, the whole app just crashes. this is true for every single use even after restart.

Hello there,

I have some very fundamental problems with this app, dating back into the days of iPhone OS 3. I'm currently using it (a 3GS on a german carrier) on iOS 4.3, and for me, the whole image-library is one big mess. Like, I click on the wallpaper-thumbnail for "Broken" and end up seeing the wallpaper for a Ghosts-track. As if some... I don't know... lingering data messed up my local catch.

I was beginning to wonder if this may be that might be the result not of a problem with the app itself, but with my nin.com-account... especially since it pre-dated the current iteration of nin.com and was created in the wild hours of the remix.nin.com-launch.

Could there be some merit to that hypothesis?

Also, on every launch the media-thumbnail will tell me that there are 40 new images and 42 new wallpapers, no matter how often I check them out)

I just got a iPhone 4Gs today. First app I got was the nin app (or maybe it was Angry Birds... can't remember now). It exits the app whenever I click on a video or a wallpaper/picture. I'm a noob with iPhones, this is my first one, just today. So is there something simple I am missing?

The same exact thing is happening to me on my new 4S iphone, every time I click on an image in the media section it boots me out of the app and back to the home screen. Any idea why?

It's a shame, I really wanted some of those wallpapers!

I seem to be having the same issues that everyone else is having. I am using an iPhone 4 32 GB for Verizon. The app worked fine when I was running iOS 4. I updated my phone two days ago to iOS 5, and the app hasn't worked since. I can view news, forums, and sometimes media. Access and messages won't work at all - they just send me back to my home screen.

Any news on an update?
