polychromaticvoid member Joined: 01/20/09 Posts: 31	i've just recently started this account for myself, and i've tried uploading a couple different images to my profile, but it doesn't update, it just continues to show the gray question mark placeholder things, and when i log in with my username and password, the members box on the front page doesn't show my username or current avatar. it's just like i'm a ghost here. i was able to fill out all my info in the profile, but that's about it. also, avatars aren't appearing for me in the forums. i know there's a setting to turn those on and off, but they were usually on by default, but not now, which is weird... i dunno what's going on, but i hope things are fixed soon... edit: i just checked the account settings in my profile, and the "display avatars" box IS checked, but it's still not displaying them for some reason. i guess the userpic system is fnckered up right now, so hopefully, this will all be fixed before long... edit 2: ok, actually, it is displaying some avatars, i did see one person's avatar just a few minutes ago, so we'll just have to see how this goes, and it (the issue) might resolve itself before too long... polychromaticvoid member Joined: 01/20/09 Posts: 31	ok, it's a bit later now... i've logged in through firefox instead of ie7, and i made an attempt to upload an avatar, profile pic, and banner, and it seemed to work, but then i removed the banner because it looked ugly and all contorted as it was, but here on the forum, my avatar isn't displaying as of the moment before this comment was posted, but it might show up after this is posted, or maybe not, i don't know... we'll see... here goes nothin'... edit: nope, didn't work... site's still fnckered, i suppose... I tried to remove my black border box, and have done so successfully elsewhere, but on here it just stays the same. I did notice that there are freestanding circle avatars here, but they are not animated...so I'm wondering if that's the problem. Thanks for any help

alena member Joined: 11/26/07 Posts: 98	Ok, I just skimmed this thread and it doesn't look like anyone's mentioned this; but way back when the new nin.com launched our avatars for here were automatically pulled from the ones we had on the remix.nin.com site. So when i changed my avatar in the last couple weeks i uploaded the new image as my avatar on the remix site and it showed here. So for those of you still struggling please try that and see if it works. Good luck!

trnscs66 member Joined: 12/09/07 Posts: 673	Something I noticed too, when I was trying to change my avatar, the new one would show up in the chat and the "Images" tab (where I had left comments previously), but not here in the forum (yes, I tried vigorously refreshing the page). I'm not sure if this will help anyone still having issues , but hopefully will be useful to the devs.
