It'll start out fine but then typing gets laggy. Takes a while for what you typed to show up. Others have reported the same problems today.

labrat member Joined: 11/27/07 Posts: 268	my bad, can't be an a. the previous person was referring to a comma and an exclamation point. for whatever reason, when i try to click on connect, the space that said connect becomes a little bar with alternating bits of dark and light gray stripe, which flow across the screen and nothing whatsoever else happens. if this is something where you have to install firefox or something, i'm flat out of luck because i use public computeres and have absolutely no sayso as to what programs are allowed on them and what programs aren't. do i have to get a computer of my own to use the chat function here, or is it something that is yet to be ironed out of the site? for what it's worth the computer doesn't tell me i need to install firefox, it just goes that little bar of gray stripes... what should i do? is there anything i can do?

I logged out, and logged back in, and I think that's what made it work so that I can get back in the chat again. I think.

Also can the main NIN room have a slower function, for example: slow the screen down, not just locking the scroll, so we can keep up, and so people can not type as follows only_u(says) omg only_u(says) omg only_u(says) omg line after line, instead they have to wait few seconds maybe 60 seconds, like the forums had, were we can not post for few minutes after posting .... Currently there are still a few bugs dealing with moderation/voicing so moderation won't be used until those are fixed.

There is probably a good reason for this that I'm unaware of. Thanks for putting this whole chat together, it's a really cool, great thing. XP, ff3, Player 9

This includes spaces, slashes, ampersands, etc. For the love of everybody else's sanity, please just register a different nick to use in chat. Minus member Joined: 09/04/08 Posts: 10	One thing I've noticed, I'm not sure if it's a bug but it is a problem.. when you try to read things people said in the past it seems like the scroll keeps jumping down whenever someone says something. It gets really irritating because a lot of people multitask and just end up loosing the conversation. I think there should be some way that you could get it to stay put. Another idea might be highlighted names Whenever someone talks to you, I've seen that done in similar chats and I think it'd be great

I have a german keyboard and i can't type things like "?", ":" or ";" which is very annoying if you ask a question and can't use the question mark. : and ; are needed for smileys Please fix this! 2) the font is really small. i mean, really small. it ruins my eyes. can't you make it a big bigger? 3) Sometimes i can't connect. I hit "connect", and it loads forever. Happened two times since in two days. But in general i like the chat. the design is pretty neat. Cheers Edited 1 time(s). I first came on the site, forgot to log on and clicked chat right away and it told me to log in or register. so i reloaded the page. signed in. and i can get in the forums fine but when i click for the chat rooms, it still says i have to log in or register. wont let me go in. are they down? or is it bugged. i have tried re opening my firefox but it still wont work. let me know if u know, thanks. i see lotsa views. but no replies. maybe a mod could help? or if anyone could at least tell me if their chat is working or not that would be great. then i could figure something out if yours is working and mine is not thanks. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash (link)" This text works, but "alternate HTML content should be placed here" looks a little unprofessional.
