As Sarah said though, we've been quite lucky. NIN have played 11 shows in the last 3 years or so in Australia, all of them headlining non-festival shows. Add these 5 and then you have 16 NIN sets since 2005. We've done well. If Prodigy do a concert in Sydney, a few of my friends and I will be definately down there for it! Edit: I know this is the raver in me talking and I probably don't really fit in this board as far as general music tastes go... but if you get the chance to see Pendulum and you're kinda into drum and bass - I highly highly recommend it. After putting up with soaring temperatures, hour long drink queues, half-hour long piss queues, thousands of fuckwit teenagers off thier faces etc, etc just to see RATM in the distance... (Although Billy Bragg was pretty cool too) I really enjoyed NIN at BDO (in 2000?) but it wasn't a patch on last year's show at the Metro or the With Teeth show in Brisbane a few years ago. In my opinion, festivals are more for hanging out with friends, picking up and maybe seeing something new... If you are already a fan of a band then surely it is better to enjoy them with other fans, and not random idiots who happen to be getting smashed in the area they are playing? Or maybe I'm just getting old...
