btw I'm dreading Eastern Creek as a venue. Oh well...
Hopefully the show that NIN put on will make up for the questionable venue.

01/26/09 4:37 AM

Me and my chums have decided on hiring a mini-van to just drive instead of screwing around with PT. There is plenty of parking there so it seems like the most logical ting to do. Its not like we'll be drinking anyhow - festival drinks prices are just obscene!

I think it works out to be about $20 each split for an 8 person van. Not bad.

01/26/09 4:45 AM

Sounds like you've got it planned well.

01/26/09 3:34 PM

No NIN in the Hottest 100? You guys suck, didn't anyone even vote? Sad panda.

Big Day Out was pretty average this year. I really could have just sat in the park with my mates and a slushee truck and had just as good a time. Cog and Mammal made it worthwhile. Prodigy were teh sucks, but I hear their sideshow was excellent.

Nyte that is a good idea. Our bus is filling up quickly too. Convoy!

01/26/09 4:37 PM

Miss Petra, just double checking I'm on your bus right?

01/26/09 6:18 PM

'My' bus teehee - Ericzor is doing all the work.

But yes, yes you are. There's a facebook group via which you can confirm this. I will find ye on facebook and send the invite. Or perhaps if you search 'spiral soundwave bus' you will find it?

I vote every year; it's triple J that suck (that & the hoards of hipsters who support the shit that's being played these days on increasingly commercial 'alternative' radio)

& the prodigy sideshow was indeed excellent!

Nah, that's all I need to know. I'm not actually on Facebook (!) so I'll keep things going via emailz.

Also: Death to Sex on Fire.

01/26/09 7:44 PM

The only positive thing I can say about the Hottest 100 this year is that such a high proportion of the 100 were Australian. 48, methinks.

I really wish I'd seen the Prodigy show.

Fo' sho! I'm at work at the moment but when I get the chance I will post a link to the FB group.

01/28/09 5:17 AM

Aights guy.
The facebook group is [www.facebook.com]
Join up, and confirm...

I got some quotes, it should be about 40 bucks, both there and back. The pick up route i'm hoping is Hurstville > Sydenham > Newtown > Eastern Creek. Hopefully.

I've asked for a quote for 20 people, I don't have 20 yet, for this to go ahead I'd like 20 confirmed people, who are reliable and not total fuckwads who will miss the bus smiling smiley

Join the group! Simon you're covered, since you're sleeping with me, sleeping at my house, you and sarahr should be sweet. I think izzy and manchild are sleeping with me, at my house as well, and I'll take the whole week off if work lets me to show you guys around (I do however need to go to my uni class on monday because i've had that lecturer before and he's a massive jerk).

Other than that, I'm excited, I would like to sort this bus out smoothly as possible. So get on that group, or MSN/email me @ aeryxz (at) hotmail.com and give us your deets.

See you guys NIN/Spiral Picnic/Spiral Bus/Whenever.

Eric xx

Hello everyone, well my (and some friends) Soundwave and NIN side show tickets are all locked in. Does anyone want to do a meet up proior to all the fun going down? Melbourne that is anyways grinning smiley

I hope all is well peeps!

02/01/09 6:54 PM

Yeah Jake I am definitely up for exploring Melbourne! I'm checking out inthemix to see if there are any decent club events happening when I'm down there too.

I am keen to jump on the bus, but I've put in some quotes for a limo/chauffeured van as well in case this doesn't work out.

I ditched BDO and got my money back, went to Prodigy instead and it was hands down the best live dance act I've ever seen. They are fucking vampires on that stage, it was awesome.

02/02/09 3:41 AM

I'd be in for the bus, but some peeps that I'm bringing along on their own nin adventure will be driving, so that's me out.

Sarah: SO right about the prodigy! I danced till I couldn't feel my feet! IMD is going to be a fucking sweet album!

Anyone else got any interesting gigs coming up?

Support act is Jaguar Love for the sideshows.

I'm posting it everywhere because people will still probably ask anyway.

Ahh excellent. Thanks!
Sounds like it should be pretty cool.

frgt_10: 10-11am it's heading out.it goes back about 1am.
Cost varies from 26 - 35$ depends on numbers.
It goes from 3 locations, Hurstville, Sydenham, Newtown.

Arran are you able to get to those? Or do we need a 4th stop in Western Syd?

02/05/09 2:01 PM

Newton to Sydenham to Hurstville to Eastern Creek (return)

24 seat mini coach 4 Star (Seatbelts) $ 798.00
32 seat midi coach 5 Star $ 856.00

So we have 2 choices, 24 people or 32 people. Start inviting and confirming!!! So the price can be from $26 - 40, which I think is a bargain. I will have to pay the thing upfront; so confirmations are neccessary so I don't get screwed with my Credit Card.

02/05/09 2:03 PM

frgt_10, eve, arran, let me know if you are confirmed for the bus smiling smiley
I can put your names on the list, and also give you my bank deets

I wont be coming by bus, I'm going with some friends who live on the other side of the city, so we're clown car-ing it there.

02/05/09 7:13 PM

ZOMG, I'm in Sydney!

Let's hang out!

I will be in NZ/Cairns from the 12th-23rd, but will be back in time for the sidewave show, and would love to meet up with other fans, that night especially.

If you attend the dragonboat festival this weekend, and see someone wearing a ridiculously sparkly cowboy hat (the one in my remix profile photo) it just might be me.

Heya, I'm Katherine from Canberra. If it wasn't so hot, I'd probably think of something more creative to write.
