Yea, cuz LA folk are just sooo much better than the rest of the Cali folks, eh? winking smiley

Well, LA is awesome. But lets face it, NoCal, and SoCal can be like different planets and they don't wanna hear about what's going on in Studio City or something.

Seriously. I've lived in the Central Valley most of my life, but I spent a year in SoCal (just north of Anaheim.) and it's ridiculously different. Different kind of people, different climate; I think that CA should be split into at least two threads.

01/28/09 11:38 PM

I'm here in Sacramento, trying to escape to L.A. Nothing wrong with NoCal, but I need to get the hell up out of here. Yes, I am that bored.

Oh, and I agree that SoCal and NoCal are two different states. I say that all the time.

and I hate the word Hella, that shit gets stuck in my head every time I've moved back home to Sac!!

01/29/09 1:48 AM

Haha, I'm in LA, dying to get out, and everyone wants to come here!

Nah, seriously, aside from the superficial trend fucks out here, it's great. I honestly can't think of any place I'd rather be.

Plus, I'm technically in "the Valley" where all the snobby tv execs and porn stars live. Life is gooood. grinning smiley

02/02/09 12:51 AM

I love you all.

San Pedro - where the ghetto meets the sea

02/02/09 12:18 PM

I live in Koreatown. Native angelino though, and have lived in a few different areas of SoCal. I think it takes a certain type of personality to really thrive here, but it's a great place.

Hey kiddies im an LA boy from downtown

02/05/09 4:22 PM

So I'm Toronto-born, Chicago-raised and transplanted myself out to Los Angeles about 9 years ago...and I'm still trying to reconcile feeling like a giant pussy everytime the temperature drops below 70 out here and I find myself shivering and saying "ooh! it's a chilly one!" In Chicago, I'd have kicked my own ass.

Any other LA humans around?

Can I just express my intense joy at the rain going on right now?! Makes me want to go home, snuggle up on the mountain of Moroccan pillows on my bed, light some candles, burn a little Nag and make love with the windows open so it's chilly and you can hear the rain...

...and for the LA natives, there's no need to fear this water from the sky. Or slam on your brakes or drive like a granny. winking smiley

Oh, I can definitely relate to that! I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN where it's ungodly cold for nine months and then hot and bloody humid for three months. I've been in LA for a couple of years now and declare pretty much anything under 70 damn cold and jacket-worthy. ...now days it's totally beyond me how I managed to survive living in Minnesota for so many years! grinning smiley

02/06/09 9:52 PM

Ahahaha a little rain and it seems like everyone in L.A. forgets how to drive.

02/07/09 5:42 AM

Sky water is serious business.

02/13/09 1:05 AM

So, I just moved to San Luis about 4-5 months ago from Oregon. Still haven't met anyone. The alternative/anything but blonde and tan scene isn't pretty much non-existent here is it? Because I'm getting more frustrated every time I walk out my door.
