I'm from northcentral WI. I should live in the Twin Cities though; I'm there almost every weekend. You can't beat tax-free clothing and 10,000 shopping malls within a 30 mile radius.

I am saddened that I've now been harassed twice at suburban shopping malls by seedy individuals and there's no security to stop it. I actually felt safer in Chicago when I was there for NIN.
I wish I could live on the North Shore of MN - awesome, awesome place. Hwy 61 is one of those drives you need to take at least once in your life. I actually spent my honeymoon in Grand Marais, MN in
JANUARY 2006. Nothing like a fireplace and a big ass lake outside the window, and it was actually pretty warm. It was around 30-40 degrees.
I was just in the Twin Cities on July 11th for Green Day at the Target Center. I know a lot of people either hate them or refuse to admit they like them, but I've been a fan since I was 14 and I waited 15 years to see them in concert, and it was worth every penny!
THEY PLAYED FOR 3 HOURS. It's amazing to see a headliner do anything beyond 2 hours, and to still see them pull up fans on stage after all these years..... very, very cool. I'm hoping NIN can do a 3 hour set when I see them at Wiltern (still can't believe I'm going; I've never even seen an ocean in person.)
