With the exception of the spammer(singular, you know who), I really didn't mind the old hang-out too much. But I haven't read all the other posts on it and I don't feel like beating this dead hoarse any longer (tonight, anyway). For me, I'll need to hit up the chat room or something. For now, I just gotta try the waters. Beer first though!

Oh I still Respect and admire Trent as an artist that's why I'm still here, making a go of this and giving it a chance. I beleve his intentions are pure enough. I understand It is hard to have your name attached, even indirectly to some of the comments made on that blog and most likely didn't want to be seen as condoning them. But at the same time he must understand that it is his music that has attracted these people and made them think that his site was a place where they could express themselves this way. This may not have been his intention but if you are encouraging resistance and free expression then you have to take the bad with the good. The thoughts and veiws that some people want to express, the things that some people want to resist, may not align with his own, but they still have a right to express and resist them in his theory.
I can see both sides to this.

ummmmmn, the pun wasn't intentional, it snuck up on me.

i opened a cafe here in the party area, put a bit of my writing there. i fully expect to find it locked there for encouraging a revival of the blog minus the nuisances, but thank goodness there's hybrid's liferaft to fall back on when they lock my cafe.

Yeah I'm a bit dissapointed with the email thing too. But I can't believe Trent removed it after one email that was unpleasant. Did he think everyone was automatically going to love the new site. I still respect Trent and admire his talent but I must admit my respect for him has taken a bit of a knock considering it seems to me like he is only willing to deal with the positive feed back of what he does and can't hack it when people don't act as planned, he shuts down the email, and the blog just because people expressed themselves in ways that were not in alliance with his own idea of what was to be expressed. Shit, I'm sure wolfy woulda let it go if Trent had just allowed him to hump his leg, lol, J/K.

Have been to the chat rooms, haven't encountered any band members though, that would certainly be cool, maybe then I could ask Trent himself why although I want to believe he is not so hypocritical, he seems to be acting like a big ol' bitch. Maybe there is a perfectly good reason, I'd like to think so.
