Oh hell no, don't tell me i missed all the drama again? :/

ishtmail, i'm fine with Astoria hostel and checking the map it's pretty freaking close to the venue which is another plus especially if people will want to change clothes (i don't know why would they want that but i'm open to this option) and then move to afterparty.

pinocchio - we're not closed community so everyone is welcome at any time.
Our own transport is still in-game and if there's 10 of us (or 11 with you), i'd love to see us going with three cars. Gas, of course, is shared expence. We'll be staying overnight at Astoria City Hostel which is 14€ a night and shall be returning to Slovenia in the afternoon hours the next day.
Besides, the show is in 23 days, no way "too late" for anything :]

That's all the "details" i can give you for now.

Edit - you can still get tickets (29€) through Eventim.si eventhough they don't have that event on their site. The worst case scenario is you'd have to go to Ljubljana to pick them up in person.

Edit - the two coming with has have been contacted regarding the sleepover and prices.

Sweet. I will either go to Ljubljana for lulz and pay you a visit and this cost or just give you when we're off to Budapest. But assuming some people still don't have tickets so on the day they'd buy them, we could arrange a mini get-to-know-each-other meet, maybe even this week. Of course, if they'd be up for it grinning smiley

Btw, thanks for booking.

07/01/09 10:02 AM

we got the tickets (well at least we paid for them and they're waiting for us-hopefully).
and we booked Alice! 2 days ago. we checked the map and that one seemed just fine - didn't know what was going on with your plans at that time, if you have alrady booked it or not... and now I see we don't get to have a hostel afterparty! or afterafterparty.
we'll think of something.

The way i see it, you can:
a- un-book Alice and book Astoria or;
b- just hang out with us, it's not like we'll let you sleep tongue sticking out smiley

But as far as i'm concerned, there shall be afterparty for all of us. In the mean time, enjoy this random picture of cute dog:

Everyone:
My credit card was only charged for 10% (12 euros). So, we'll gather the money for the rest of it in Budapest and pay together in cash when we're there.
Glad to see this is coming along nicely... This is gonna be awesome, guys!

yes, I know. i was just checking.

About Astoria. yes, it's close to the venue if you take the underground, but it's a bit complicated at night. (because the last metro departs at 11.19 pm)

07/02/09 3:12 PM

hey all,
does anyone know, how far is the atlas city hotel from the venue???
i've got bloody seating tickets, ill try to "balkan" my way from region 202 to standing area smiling smiley

Try with google maps...at least you can get an approximate description.

Now ... where are we? astoria .. alice ... who drives?
Who I owe to? How much? ... Which road we take and when we go?

oh man, I really am years behind you, this week was busy and totally destructive, so after only 5 days of work, I scream for hollidays again, I so need ONE good weekend, but the one that's coming now will be again spent in the office. Damn.

Today I've got a call from my family in Sarajevo screaming on the phone to GO ON THE CONCERT, HAVE FUN! ... They are celebrating my friend's birthday ... sigh ... while I'm so tired and bored.

Now I go home ...

P.S. to all Hungarian friends ... thanks! for all the help .. and looking forward to see you

acerchiata:

Booked at Astoria. We'll collect the money in Budapest and pay the hostel together (I only payed a 10% deposit so far).

Drivers: me (if I pass the licence test), my wife, Tinkerbell and/or her friend in the first car. Since you're also from Ljubljana, we can take you on board as the fifth passenger. If you're also a driver, that'd be great. Car borrowed from my brother-in-law.
2nd car: drivers Perchee, Ana and a bunch of others. Car courtesy of Perchee (if he manages it) or other arrangements will be made in the worst case scenario.

I suggest we write down the total expenses for gas as we go, and put together funds as we see fit (either when we go and fill up the tank, or at the end of the trip).

Tickets: you take care of that yourself, if you haven't already. Eventim has them.

I suggest we leave early friday morning. If 7am is OK with everyone, then that'd be my recommendation - so we hit the road early, get to budapest by 1 or 2 pm, and have enough time to eat and to go wait in the NIN concert line. I want the rail, so I wanna be there early.
We'll take the road through Zagreb, where Perchee's gang will pick up the croatian bunch. Then our convoy hits north.

07/03/09 2:29 PM

That post just gave me an erection. Not anorexian, erection smoking smiley

Ok, time some serious math:
(disclaimer: this is not definite list of "sitting" or number of passengers so this may change until 24th)
- car1: ishtmail, Karmen, Tinkerbell, her friend, maybe acerchiata
- car2: me, ana (picked in Zagreb), default_me (picked in Zagreb), maybe acerchiata
- car3 which we don't have yet: pinocchio (if he decides, i'll PM him), Vesna, her friend, ____________

There's no way in hell that many people fit two cars. So.. it's three cars or train.

But as for the rest of the plan, i like it. I'm fine with 7am move-out and picking up girls in Zagreb. Be prepared, it may take us about 6 hours to get to Budapest, pit stops will be required not just because girls will have to go pee together, but because none of us is a pro-driver and would handle whole or most of one-way without stretching his legs and backs. Have your mobiles ready, fill their batteries on Thursday so you won't run out of it on Friday.

Then again, i suppose these are details for the "T - 3 days" or later.

Edit - since not everyone is checking this thread (at least not on the regular basis), can we set up something like email group? or Facebook group? Or whatever group we'd see it working the best, so everyone gets everyone's messages/emails. I know we can easily discuss it here but.. Tinkerbell seems to be AWOL 24/7, Vesna and her friend don't read this too often if at all and pinocchio drops in once every decade or so.
Just an idea.. :]

07/03/09 11:13 PM

Yes, email group sounds great. I'm AWOL from Facebook practically permanently...

As for Tinkerbell: I keep her updated (more or less) regularly via SMS, and she agrees with most of it.
All in all, we're doing great. We only have to figure out if any additional people decide they'd like to join us, how we'd get their asses up there (i.e. possible 3rd car) and they should also consider booking a hostel.

Hello from Croatia.

Few questions -
1. Does anyone know if the venue in Budapest has a parking lot?
2. What is the best method to buy tickets? Eventim.hu (with "pick up @ main eventim office? option)? Does the Ticketportal.hu and it's print@home actually works? Because i have made a reservation for my tickets, and recieved confirmation mail, but without any option to pay them, even on the site...
I went under the option "your reservations" and there is no visible option to pay the tickets... hm?

tNX!

Herr:
Hello there!

We bought tickets at our local eventim offices, no problem. I don't know if eventim has an office in croatia, so check it out. Other than that, yeah - eventim.hu is probably your best bet.

No idea about the venue and parking spaces though. We're planning to leave our cars at the hostel and walk (or take public transport) to the venue.

07/06/09 2:28 AM

Bok HerrKaufmann!

Nice to see more Croats here.

You can buy the tickets from Eventim.hr
PM me and I'll write you all the details.

took me awhile to figure it out too, but with ticketportal.hu you can book OR buy tickets. making a reservation means someone should pick up the tickets in budapest in the next 7 days and pay in cash.
if you want to buy tickets online, don't make a reservation, just click on buy and choose a delivery method.
I bought through eventim.hu, will pick them up when we're there.

Hey, just a quick stop-by.
Vesna told me that she and her friend will be in Budapest from Wednesday on already, meaning there's currently still only 8 of us + pinocchio who i have yet to ask due to my busy schedule.

That's two and a half weeks until the show and i'm already all pumped up.

07/10/09 3:34 AM

the thread is sinking.
two more weeks!

07/11/09 4:48 AM

That's right! LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!

So, pinocchio confirmed not to go with us and while Vesna and her friend are going to be in Budapest from Wednesday on, i think it's safe to say there's 8 of us in two cars. That said, we're gonna fill up one whole room. Don't worry irenne, you can still (most likely) stay in our room and leave late when the afterparty's afterparty (if there will be any) ends. But yeah.. we will (again, most likely) meet before the show and.. let's see where the hanging-out takes us, yes?

ishtmail - can you change reservation into 8ppl?

07/11/09 10:04 AM

I'll check about changing the booking... Will let you know ASAP.

07/11/09 3:33 PM

OK - Perchee I go with you then ...

Ish - thank you for making the arrangements and I'm really excited to meet the artist.
So the driving licence procedes?

13 days ... FINALLY .... it has happened to me

07/13/09 10:13 AM

ok, so we're in Budapest early in the morning, take a rest, so it's fine to meet up whatever time in the afternoon all of you are there and ready. btw, does everyone here have presale tickets?
the highlight - Alice hostel has flexible check out, we figure it's ok to sleep until the midnight train back.

07/13/09 9:59 PM

We didn't buy presale, we bought the tickets via Eventim. But I don't reckon' it's any different, eh?

07/14/09 3:42 AM

Hey, just wanted to check if anybody from Rijeka or Zagreb is going to Budapest by train on the day of the show?
