Thanks to prettihaytmachine for telling me about the Scottish thread - eventually found it. New here and I am, indeed, Scottish. I used to listen to NIN back in the late 80's/early 90's and then went in a different musical direction, but I'm back and loving them all over again. I never got to see them play sadly, and I gave my guestlist places to this years T in the Park to my friends, who wanted to see...yup NIN. Ach well, too old for festivals now anyway, especially the Buckfast fest that is TITP.

08/12/09 2:41 AM

Thank you queen for taking us into page 2 of this ever so quiet thread, pity you dinnae fancy the fests, i did have a spare ticket for sonisphere lol

08/12/09 3:09 AM

Never even heard of sonisphere. Where does that take place?

08/12/09 8:41 AM

sorry should have explained. it was a new festival down at Knebworth House luton way, its where led zepp, the who and many more bands played in the 70,s has a big place in britains rock music history,

playing were metallica machine head, limp bizkit, lonkin park, thunder, anthrax and some wee band called 225 millimetre nails ;-)

A big hello from the 'nauld........ ( hangs head in shame...) well someones gotta live there .......

I'm an adopted scot..... Been here for nearly ten years, originally from south of the border but don't
hold that against me!

A very sweet ex introduced me to the ecstacy that is NIN/TR in the early 90's...... And I've been hooked since!

Saw them for the first/last time at sonisphere..... TR is truely a genius and the only man on earth that could ever turn me straight!
Q is a lucky lady! Hope they're both happy!

08/19/09 3:25 AM

Welcome to the scottish thread, adopted scots are welcome too, like you i was hooked early 90,s.
Was also at Soni,

the nauld aint that bad is it ? LOL

08/20/09 2:32 AM

FECK FECK FECK this weather, well thats the summer over i suppose

08/20/09 7:44 PM

Yes the 'nauld really is that bad! But guess I shouldn't moan, could b worse!

Loved every minute of nin at sonis but gutted I won't see them again.

08/23/09 3:02 AM

Ive lived in similar places lol, a certain housing estate in Dumbarton, was there for 9 long yrs, had a junkie across landing from me, 2 floors down was a dealer, finally landlord asked me if i wanted to buy, when i said no he gave me 3 months to find a new place, was best move i ever made, now out near helensburgh, so quite lol

and im thinking you will seee them again, reckon he needs some time away from touring etc, ah well, weather is crap today so i came to work, faith no more gig in edinburgh tomorrow night, woo hoo

08/24/09 5:26 AM

LOL yes helensburgh does sound better than the area u lived in.... Altho drugs are so common place these days, I'm pretty sure every neighbourhood has a friendly drug dealer within reachable distance!
Well let's hope after a wee break from the touring circuit TR will change his mind!
And as for working on a Sunday..... It should be outlawed!!!! Working night shift over a weekend really doesn't do much for my social life!

How was the F N M gig?

08/24/09 5:30 AM

Btw .... Cute dog and so jealous that ur seeing Muse!!!!!! Left it too late to get tickets..... Much sadness was experienced that day sad smiley

08/24/09 5:49 AM

08/27/09 9:48 AM
