Well, I've been here for at least two years as of now and I like how I can somehow feel at home here. NIN means so much to me, and I always wish Trent the best. His music has a very special place in my heart.smiling smiley

10/24/11 10:39 AM

yeah i know how you feel. i wonder how trent feels about his superfans though. are we just pigs and sheep? followers to him? consumers that just eat up his products? id like to think that he is greatful for us all. or are we just followers of his ideas and visions. id like to think im a leader and nin has led me through a lot of parts of my life. i respect trent yes i do. but i can also relate to what he has to say. if i could write my own music it would sound a lot like NIN. but im not sure how he feels about trent worship. thanks trent reznor for all your amazing stuff. i hope you dont feel like we're just another pig following your trail of wonder. i guess ive always wanted to know how he feels about it all.

Oh nice

Grosser Subtle? from the ROK. Just a question and I hope some of you fans/site moderator/specialists on the NIN groove can help me out with this.

This is about the transcendental quality of the NIN groove.

I was listening to The Great Destroyer and going nuts even though I was quite sober. At the end (like the last minute or so) there's this bit where he sets up this anarchic beat with some counterpoint and stalls.

Then he messes it up and changes up the channels. The effect was exhilarating and I was thinking I could listen to this for hours and it would be a serious audio trip. But the albums I have do not parallel this particular effect. I've got some stuff (With Teeth, Year Zero, and of course The Slip) but I haven't found this level of musical trip on anything else.

Are there some other remixes or something were dude goes heavy into the channel switching? And if that does not exist, does anyone have any idea of what I'm talking about and would love to hear more of it?

Hello all ! I am sithlordjp, from Montréal !

Discovered NIN on the Natural Born Killers soundtrack when it came out in 1994. I know, I was a late bloomer, what can I say ! But since then I've been following all things NIN very closely. Trent's music helped me get through some very difficult times.

Been a member for 3 years but just recently started posting, and it's been fun so far !

Cheers !

oh, i (particle and wave) try not to be self righteous or judge and i shouldn't care who you eat, but i recently became successful with my vegetarian goal thanks to boca, morningstar farms, etc. it being all Souls day, i would like to decorate Heidi's grave (kitty who hid a lot) if we can find her burial space in the woods.

Hey everyone!

I'm Wasp, otherwise known as thehighroller5 on twitter and tumblr.

I live in Chicago, and I have a mad obsession with the Millennium series (well, Lisbeth, actually).

That is, however, NOT the reason why I'm here. I'm here because I've been a NIN fan since Year Zero. I love how there is a Reznor song for every emotion I feel.

My most played album is Reznor & Ross' score for The Social Network (with The Downward Spiral following closely behind).

My most played song is Reznor & Ross' cover of "Immigrant Song" with Karen O (I have 792 plays since June). My second most played song is the song from the dragontattoo site (I just KNOW that the GWTDT soundtrack is going to be great!!).

Yeah... that's probably it.

Hi Wasp and welcome smiling smiley Try to listen to the old stuff, too. Those are pretty awesome as well

Hi everyone. My nom de plume is Slaynee. I am a writer and a music fan. Been a NIN fan since the '90s. Love early industrial like Einstürzende Neubauten and early krautrock like Faust and Neu!I'm also into esoteric experimental music like Univers Zero. My moniker is the title of one of my favorite songs by Public Image, Ltd. I feel like I was born a bit too late (I'm almost 30) but nevertheless, I enjoy the music that came before me.

Hello to everyone.

My name is Camilo. I'm from Cali, Colombia. I'm 26 years old. I love anything synth-machine-computer related, so as you guys may know Trent (meanining NIN) is THE man in terms of expressing raw emotion through modulars, machines, pedals, etc. basically anything that makes a sound.

I also love his studio perfectionism, he is a higher ground, ultimate tech studio engineer (he'd kick Alan Parsons ass fo' sho' smiling smiley).

My best regards.
