^ I miss Birmingham; if I was around, I'd so be there thumbs up I'll have to settle with just wishing you luck with it though, so *goodluck!*

Ah balls, I've just noticed the time! I have a seminar to get to (on the seventh floor, I might add!) so I've gotta shoot off again now. This was even more brief then I anticipated!

Hopefully I'll be back later! XD

I'm having a monster busy fay too! Tiz all good fun, but I need an extra three hours per day...

Dunno where I order that from tho'...

Still waiting for my hearing to recover from Metallica last night grinning smiley

*gasp*

WHY were you not wearing ear defenders / ear plugs???

eye popping smiley

(Protecting hearing at gigs is something I feel VERY stongly about and is a 'pet topic' of mine. Pople don't seem to know - or care - that the ringing in their ears after a gig, even though it goes away, is an indication of the erosion of the hair cells that's occuring in the cochlea. This damage is cumulative and therefore not noticed until it's too late!)

So, in planning yr xmas work do, would anyone think it 'wrong' if someone who didn't like chinese food putting out an email to say that if that's what's settled on then they couldn't go? Or for a vegetarian to ask whether the restaurant catered for vegetarians?

Then why did my employers take formal action against a colleague (I'm not sure if they were fired) for asking if the restaurant served Halal food as they were muslim?

Oh, let's not forget those who were fired for forwarding on a joke about the Irish. Even the Leicester Irish society put out a statement to say they had no problem with the joke and thought the action to fire them inappropriate etc.

But is there light on the horizon to know that they want to change EVERYONE's contract to a more flexible one? Not if you don't want to be enforced to work between the hrs of 7am and 11pm.

And according to the union, this is just the tip of the iceberg. sad smiley

yeah - it was excellent.
The only slight issue I had was the PA just wasn't quite right.
The LF was way overpowering everything else which was a bit of a shame (hence the earplug requirement)
Band gave 110% as usual smiling smiley

Me too, I just hope we don't have to make do with a festival appearance. I actually love going to festivals and NIN were awesome at Leeds 2yrs ago, but the tours in 2005 and 2007 were the most amazing shows I've ever been to and I'd love the chance to see them in a small venue at least one more time.

*Fingers crossed*

02/26/09 1:49 PM

Wow thanks for the pics; it looks amazing! What venue was that? Seems like a strange layout.

I've also got fingers crossed for proper NIN dates; I literally can't afford festivals, and although I've never seen NIN at a festival, they seem like the kind of band which sounds better in a small venue.

Plus, the '07 shows were so kickass, I just wanna relive the whole experience again... And again... And again... smiling bouncing smiley

Its was Nott Trent FM arena. Seating all round the outside. Standing all round the constructed stage in the very centre.

I really really hope that nin tour separately to the festival circuit. As good as the festivals are ...... expensive ! and dedicated tour much better. smiling smiley just my 2p.

According to this week's NME, NIN are headlining the NME/Radio 1 stage at T in the Park on Sunday, with JA on before them. Haven't seen this info anywhere else though.

Apparently it was on a website the other day and then they removed it?!? I can;t even remember where I heard it, I think it was mentioned on Twitter.

A friend who works in the industry mentioned Sonisphere but said it was only a rumour she'd heard... that efestival site is usually pretty accurate tho, hence crossing my fingers. It's a shame but I got the distinct impression from the updates on here that we're only gonna get some festivals this time around sad smiley
