Sonisphere is being marketed by Seetickets as NIN's last UK show for 'some time'.

03/12/09 10:05 AM

Maybe it is, maybe it's not. Never trust/believe marketing is my motto. As for meet up thomas, I don't think too many of us are doing sonisphere. Tho i may be wrong....

03/12/09 10:53 AM

sonisphere sucks even if i wanted to go - its in august & i plan on not being anywhere near UK in august...

03/12/09 10:57 AM

*sigh* sometimes I wonder why I get up in the morning...

today, last lesson, I was told that I was going to get "fucking shanked" - by an 11yr old!!!
don't you just love the youth of today...

03/12/09 11:27 AM

*shrug*

I just thought some people might be interested in that little bit of info. I won't be in the country anyway so it makes no difference to me.

03/12/09 11:31 AM

wasnt having a dig at you, pale..

03/12/09 12:25 PM

Ok, own up - who's broken the consulate?? eye popping smiley

03/12/09 12:25 PM

Argh - I don't like what's going on with the pages either...

I won't be going to Sonisphere either, it's just not financially viable right now.

Feeling right moody today sad smiley my car went for it's MOT so I'm now really skint, the mechanic is going to bring it home soon but then he'll take it away again to finish the work next week.

The news is miserable today too (well, nothing unusual there I suppose) but the piece on adding tax to chocolate - thank god the government are having none of it!

*riffle kitchen cupboards for chocolately treats*

03/12/09 12:33 PM

^ I thinks it's a global "bad mood day" winking smiley
We had a full moon yesterday, btw.
Take a look at the news, yesterday was a really, really dark day sad smiley

I like writing anything, pretty much all prose though. I'll take my inspiration from anywhere, things I hear said, half listened to television, articles in magazines (science based things, the world of the future) and then it's just a case of thinking what if and asking why a lot. I put a tiny little piece in the writing forum yesterday, something I quickly wrote as a background piece for my current project in planning.

Well bad mood day explains my day, although home now so everything is good again *think positive, think positive* and even if they tax chocolate there's still biscuits (cake is already taxed and like that's stopped us eating it)

03/12/09 1:41 PM

Well-- I was planning on going to Sonisphere; but only if a few of you are going to go. Since no one has ventured to East Anglia for me yet. tongue sticking out smiley

Of course I haven't strayed far from here either; but I have work as an excuse, and being afraid of big bad Britain!

That would be a good name for a band...

Big Bad Britain..

03/12/09 1:58 PM

We are all afraid that if we go to East Anglia, we may never get out alive spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I have just blown my diet by scoffing down crumpets with butter on. Feck. Will have to do some exercise and I am allergic. I am constitutionally suited to a life of sofa-lolling and chocolate grazing.

Hmmm, what are these portable hair straighteners you speak of, eh? Those sound perfect for travels!

I have these

They use energy cells. They don't heat up as much as the electric ones but they get pretty hot and are better than nothing. They are great for camping trips smiling smiley

You're based less than hour from where I live! Get some leave and venture down the A11!

I would go. I like festivals. Well, I like a day ticket for a festival. But alas, it cannot be done. Would have liked to have gone to Knebworth too. Lot of musical history at that place.

Well-- I have been in a class that has occupied my last 5 wks. 1 more week left. Then I work at an A & E so I have to get creative sometimes with plans.

Plus having a wife and 2 lovely children tends to inhibit ones spontaniety. You could come see me though- I have an extra room too! tongue sticking out smiley

That could be the case-- but there is still the matter of accommodations and the like-- £800 for a rm is a little steep. I doubt I would be able to drive reliably either. tongue sticking out smiley

03/12/09 3:52 PM

No I haven't actually but i get the idea-- I went to an American festival-- tents and the like.. I was quoting this...

Less than 2 miles away, Bed and Breakfast
2 or 3 nights click for more info
2 people (includes 2 tickets)

* £700 - 2 nights (including VAT

03/12/09 3:55 PM

Jokob if you do decide to go, then camping is by far the cheaper option. The campsites are usually pretty basic but there are showers and a supermarket etc...

Don't know how old your kids are but they do have family camping if you were thinking of taking them.smiling smiley

3 and 4... The better half appreciates NIN; but none of the other bands-- doubt I could convince her to join me... the myhabs look decent-- £720 for 2 ppl, tix included..

Off to bed; another fun filled day tomorrow- Have a good night all..

BTW; I drink PG tips.

Peasant rabble I am.
