top end of hope street. was there on Friday and it was packed.

"Will ye nae sign ma fanny?"

That's the funniest thing anyone's ever said to me at a gig. Hooray for the Cathouse.
Would have been less disturbing if there wasn't a 50/50 chance she was underage lol

09/14/08 6:08 PM

You've got me in hysterics again! What an image!
I picture you waving your fiver above your head, chasing them around the car park, dropping mud and soaps along the way. You end up pushing the bike at them to knock 'em over before stamping your feet, screaming and DEMANDING they hose you down and scrub you clean IMMEDIATELY!

Hee!!

Y'see this is where I KNOW I was a bloke in a previous life: I see NOTHING wrong (in fact, it's perfectly acceptable) to clean bikes/strip down engines in the comfort of the living room. It's warm and dry, y'have cups of tea and the TV within easy reach and the coffee table makes a handy tool bench. OK, I need to get a tarp or ground sheet for the sake of the carpet (locals newspapers are rubbish at catching oil/mud/muddy oil splats) but that just means Mum and I will have to do a trip to B&Q on Saturday...

(If I dare go DIY/techie/horsie shopping without my 77 year old Mum, I never hear the end of it!!)

I was born with shallow joints, so while that makes me extremely flexible, I tend to semi-dislocate alarmingly easily. I managed to push my jaw out of joint while asleep last week...

Have they chocolate or lots of butter?

We've got a hot water machine at work now, so I don't even need to wait precious seconds waiting for the water to boil!

09/15/08 4:28 AM

Wow, there is a lot of demand for tea and biscuits round these parts. A desire to assert a little British culture in this British corner of an otherwise US-dominated environment?

I'm lactose intolerant so I can't drink regular tea (milk). Anyone got any peppermint tea? Or, even better, some smoothie?

There's a few of us around these days, huh? Usually to be found trudging around various supermarkets to find the (seemingly hidden?) "Free From" aisle, and going on long old walks to find strange health food shops.

We have no biscuits in this house. It disturbs me.

rule_of_five - There's always a brew on the go in here! Biscuits would be great. Just what I need with my cuppa to relieve the stress of being a total Muppet and leaving phone behind. eye rolling smiley

without_the_underscore - Depends how you make it, of course! I always make B13 and azonei's drinks without cows' milk. Got to make sure they don't get the wrong milk, even in cyber brews! grinning smiley

They're claiming to be "all butter, Chocolate chip" cookies...so both fronts covered there smiling smiley (I'm not even going to bother checking the calorie or fat content, anything that nice hasto be bad for me

Due to the skewed nature of my body clock (working nights and then insisting on reading til the sun rises probably not helping), I've had to temporarily ditch tea in favour of guzzling weapons-grade coffee (i hope this doesn't offend anyone's sensibilities smiling smiley), otherwise I'll not get anything done today...
