Nothing like a brew and a biscuit in the mornings 'eh.

What's everyone up to today then? The rain depresses me. I was planning to go to Manchester to get some new sunglasses. Not that I'd particulary be needing them with our weather being the way it is...bah. Looks like another day at home watching old films on the box and reading older books off the shelf.

Hey, fellow Surrey-ite!!

Which bit are you in? I'm near Leatherhead... Just moved here last November after living in Fulham for 8-odd years. I have to say, inspite of the fact I can't get a decent cup of coffee anywhere unless I make it m'self, I'm kinda liking the peeace and quiet for a change!!

1. Feeding the goldfish (Dave and Brian)
2. Drinking coffee
3. Logging the footage we shot on the new XDCAM camera last week (long story!)
4. Sorting out the last of my cabling/spaghetti
5. Wondering why the surround sound has re-routed itself...
6. Setting up a server system.
7. Hiding under the desk and hoping it sorts itself out without me!!!

to add a little variety (& not necessarily in this order);
- I'll feed my 2 rats, Scratch & Sniff
- feed the cat, 'His Infernal Majesty, the Prince of Darkness, Grimly Fiendish'
- feed the littlun
- wash bedclothes, and any other whites
- go to the park, drink coffee & read while littlun runs around
- avoid the olympics
- waste an extraodrinary amount of time that could be used for above items by posting in here!! grinning smiley

Action packed days all round then!

I've scrapped going to Manchester due to the awful weather, and am instead going to go to my Nan's house. God damnit I'm a good Grandson! I'm even going to bring them some lovely apple pie. We shall have coffee and pie while my Grandad entertains us with his anicdotes from times long gone.

B13, your day's events seem way too complicated for me to understand.

Eeek! I certainly understand the "drinking coffee" part, however. I'm joining you in that as we speak. Coffee, then I'm off to my Nan's. I shall drive at high speed to the 'Beetlejuice' soundtrack in my yellow car. Rock on! =P

LOL haha, fantastic. The same thing happened to me, only it was a Mozart CD! No return address, so that prize now sits proudly on my shelf =D

08/19/08 4:48 AM

haha! yeah, it happened a few years back too - i 'won' a free copy of 'get carter' video-box-set with re-released 2-disc soundtrack... shame i don't have a vcr... lolz

now, if only someone would send something of slightly more value... lets say, a car... or a big fat cheque... grinning smiley

08/19/08 4:02 AM

hahaha, we can all dream 'ey. I don't know about you, but if money actually arrived in the post I'd feel rather guilty taking it! I wouldn't know what to do! I'd fear that the Mafia would come to get me or something! I need to learn to chill and not worry so much. Now I'm actually hoping that a check doesn't arrive in the post. And a car simply wouldn't fit through my post box. I'm happy with my yellow car for now =]

And now I'm off out. Have a nice day all!

I just hope the letter wasn't posted 13 years ago, coz the tea may be a bit ...um.. . 'strange'.

Hey guys - can I join you on that walk? In fact you've persuaded me to pop out sarks. I too need a change of scenery and some air eye popping smiley

I'm fast becoming a couch potato and it's not good. I'm not accomplishing a single darn thing. But first things first - can I have a cuppa please?

08/19/08 7:36 AM

Hello, I'm on the South coast. Can I pass anyone a crumpet, as the weather's a tad Autumnal?

08/19/08 7:41 AM

ooh, i'll have a crumpet, and you're all more than welcome to perambulate with me.

08/19/08 8:31 AM

B13, applie pie is mighty fine. Unfortunately for you, I went to my Nan's the usual route -- more specifically not via Surrey =P I did, however, go via Sainsbury's where my Nan treated me to some fish and chips. Whey! My Grandparents have always said that Sainsburys is the greatest restaurant they've ever been to LOL! "Best value for money" -- and be george, they are right! five pounds for two huge meals! WOW. It was bloody gorgeous too, loved it. And the cappacino wasn't half bad either. My Nan then convinced me that I should take part in the lottery every week, and that I was a fool not to. I had the exact opposite argument, believing idiots to do the lottery. She bought me a ticket for Wednesday's lotto. If I win then that'd be splendid considering I didn't buy the ticket. I'll let you all know =P

Now time for a brew. Again. It really is crazy how much tea and coffee we consume in this thread. True Brit's.
