Trent's Picks/Amps/Guitar Gear?

Just wondered if anyone who was lucky enough to go to a NIN show ever got one of Trent's guitar picks and could say what type of pick he uses. My assumption based on one live video of 'The Hand that Feeds' from 2005 is that he uses a Jazz III pick (I use Jazz III's and they're extremely precise and have a sharp tip [as well as bright red] and seem like they would be up Trent's alley): [www.youtube.com]

As far as guitar gear, I know he uses tons of stuff in the studio but as far as the live show goes is he mainly into Les Pauls? What kind of cabs?

Thanks!

This is most of the gear he shifted after NIN's touring hiatus, all of which was used live. I wasn't even aware picks massively varied in anything but durability though.

Thanks for the link and response! Actually, they really do. Someone like Dave Grohl uses much thicker/sometimes larger picks than say the guitarist in Slipknot does. Most metal players use Jazz III's or variations of them because the sharp point and smaller size makes it much easier to play more technical material and solos. It obviously comes down to preference ultimately, but I'm pretty sure that Trent was using a Jazz III pick at least at that show (it's hard to mistake the slightly smaller bright red pick with a sharp point you can see him holding in close ups). Most Jazz III players use that specific type of pick because of it's precision, which seems up Trent's alley, but at the same time going nuts and just thrashing the hell out of your guitar (like Dave Grohl) would be difficult and you'd probably end up with bloody fingers. None of NIN's songs are necessarily difficult on guitar so I was definitely surprised to see Trent using what looks like a Jazz III pick.

Trent himself admits he's not the greatest guitarist ever, maybe he chooses a pick with a more accurate point to make it easier to hit the notes? The lead guitarist in the touring band's choice in pick is probably far more demonstrable of what the best pick for NIN is.

Exactly my thinking. I wouldn't say he's not a good guitarist, that wasn't my point at all, he obviously is a great guitar player since he writes and records all the guitar parts. Technicality doesn't necessarily make someone a good musician. I'm sure it's just easier live to be able to let a guitarist like Robin Finck handle lead guitar duties so Trent can just be a frontman. The fact that he doesn't feel the need to show off his guitar skills live and respects everyone in the live band has a part to play is commendable. NIN isn't really a "guitar driven" band either overall. I'm more interested in what he used to record (hence my interest in his pick as opposed to Robin's) since they are pretty much a different band in studio and live.

Are there any interviews where Trent talks about his guitar playing?
