The visuals on this one were very hard on video cameras, especially after compression, so sorry about some shots being very pixelated.

For those wondering what I'll do with the gift : well I'm currently downloading the whole thing, and it might take weeks before I get the whole package. For now though, I'm not done with this project, so I'll keep on and then when the time comes I'd like to get involved in the more "official" DVD using the HD footage from nin.com if Torgo's willing to let me edit a few songs.

So anyway, keep looking here, yet more to come smiling smiley I'm also planning to restore the audio for all the live Ghosts tracks even though I won't do videos for them.

Well, this is THE ONE. This is my favourite NIN track in recent years. Favourite since "And All That Could Have Been". I am really thankful I had the chance to see it live in Ottawa and I hope this video will capture some of the incredible emotions I went through that night.

By the way, when I started this project. I expected the "hardcore" fans to care a lot more for the obscure, more difficult material like this, but much to my surprise, most of you care much more about the intense and violent stuff. Don't worry, there's more of the latter coming from me for this specific project smiling smiley

ALSO : In addition to those meant-for-streaming-videos, the fan-made DVD and the gift, I'm announcing that I am commencing ANOTHER DVD project, this time for the MONTREAL show. I know several HD sources exists, so expect the full deal, multi-cam + audio post-production. If you have any material, please contact me ASAP : pier_philippe88@hotmail.com

Thanks Ash512 & collaborators. Really appreciate these. 'Closer' is definitely tight.

01/09/09 4:52 PM

very nice man... the irritating "superzoom" on justin @ 2:48 came out really well, and that's exactly why I did that stupid shit.. cause I knew somewhere someone was going to use one of those zooms to good effect.

01/11/09 12:13 PM

I've received a lot of requests to make a DVD out of those. I had no idea how it would look like on TV, so I burned a DVD yesterday and much to my surprise, it looks VERY GOOD. Can't really do anything about the pixels in some shots, but overall, the colors are very rich and the images are much brighter and better defined.

So, I'm officially looking for someone to do the DVD menus. If you're interested, please PM me. I have very few knowledge of DVD authoring, so I'm going to need all the help I can get.

I'd like to keep the concept of the whole thing being all from shot by fans and ripped from YouTube/Vimeo. I'm thinking about developping a concept around the democratization of mass-media, and the fact that any event can be shared with the whole world in a flash. I'm thinking maybe of having the Survivalism TV screens for the menu or something...

Anyway, if anyone's interested, contact me. Feel free to post suggestions for title, artwork, concept, etc...

I love these videos and have been watching them constantly the last few days. I downloaded a decent amount of them and tried putting them on my iPod touch but it's being a bitch and getting all skippy on me, but that's besides the point (just me fucking something up). These videos are AMAZING. Great work!

And finally, here's a little teaser for all of you who wants a DVD. I've created an image file (.img) for a DVD. It contains Closer. The file is relatively small (239 mb). If you're on mac, you can burn it very easily with Disk Utility or any disk burning software. If you are on Windows, I'm sorry, I can't help you.

Oh my god.... Ghosts 28 is, by far, my favorite song off of Ghosts. Amazing...wish I could have seen this one on the LitS tour.

i burned your .img to a disc and threw it up on my projector. all i can say is WOW. Considering these vids are somewhat partial quality, they look amazing even blown up to a 130" screen. I can't wait to see the full quality shit like this

Pinion / Wish on Vimeo

Pinion / Wish on YouTube (HD still processing right now)

I'll be totally honest with you, I'm really tired of that song. I didn't plan on making a video for it but I got lots of requests to make one. A lot of you seem to really like the fact that Pinion is played as an intro. Anyway... Lots of strobe lights in that song, which is harsh on video compression, so sorry again for those pixels.

You can now finally prove to all your friends that the Blue Screen of death WAS PART OF THE SHOW. Also look out at 2:26 for the an MSN Messenger sound. I don't think this was ever brought up before...

Well looks like my DVD just might have all 4 songs of the Year Zero segment playing one after another...

Again, this was edited using fan-shot footage exclusively, not a single frame from the nin.com holiday gift. The audio is my restoration of the Las Vegas show recorded by Ryan J and Chaonatic.

we got a winner! TGD looks fscking epic presented this way

initial vimeo freezeframe FTW

also, i think the MSN sound repeats at 2:36 ... anyone else catch that?

The freezeframe is not Vimeo miraculously landing on it, I changed the thumbnail, although that would have been an epic win tongue sticking out smiley

And yup, the sound does repeat !

01/16/09 3:01 PM

Awesome !
Thanks

01/17/09 12:44 PM

i will definitely check them out
