Also, I can't seem to figure out how to download the iPod version as a torrent. So far all I can get is a direct download which says it'll take an entire day to download. Am I doing something wrong here?

iPod version is only available via direct download. As for the speeds, my server is located in Australia so your distance from us would have an effect on speeds. All I can suggest is to start the download and leave it running while you go do something else, no different as to what I do with torrents really.

Hoping the single layer version will be up soon tongue sticking out smiley SDDVD is all I have and I have a new surround sound system that needs breaking in! grinning smiley

I'm exactly tech savy. I'm on Roadrunner and using Transmission (on a Mac). Anyway to speed up the download in Transmission settings? I dunno what are the best settings.

12/25/09 8:27 PM

I downloaded mine via Vuze...which I believe also allows you to interface it with many devices...iPhone, iPod, PS3...

Simon, I have Fios and it took about 8 hours. I don't know how that compares to other DL times.

I tried downloading almost an hour ago..I work at midnite so I'm gonna try to set it up before i leave if 8 hours is normal download time..
(Mine was moving slower than old people f*ck)

12/25/09 8:44 PM

I'm already downloading through transmission though. Is it possible to continue the downloads on another bitorrent client?

12/25/09 8:59 PM

Fuck yeah this rocks. I snagged the DLDVD last night before i went to bed and woke up and it was done. Will be seeding for a long time. Was having trouble with ipod version though first time it failed while i was sleeping and so i d/l again and went to work acme home and it was done but it was stuck on firefox doing the virus scan and wouldn't finish.

Is there any possibility of getting this in a Mpeg-4 or Wmv for us people who have a Zune(you know that thingy that Microsoft put out to compete with ipod)

If you ask nicely, I'm sure someone will be able to convert it for you from the 1080p version.

As it is, right now we're concentrating on fixing the iPod classic problem, getting the PS3 version fixed, and putting up the SD DVD.

*whew*

Sigh I'm having trouble getting the DLDVD version onto a DL DVDr if anyone can give me some tips that would be fantastic. I used a product called VideoDVDMaker Free for TDS Live but I used it this time and it just didn't work, it said it wrote it onto the disc but the disc says it has nothing on it. So if anyone can give me a pointer in the right direction that would be amazing.

Maybe someone should just start a thread for us DVD burning n00bs

12/25/09 10:45 PM

OK, so I've tried downloading the Ipod version four times now and for whatever reason it refuses to finish. It always works for the first two-three hours and then stops fifteen minutes before it's done. I'm wondering if I should just give up for now because of my crappy computer/ internet or not... Is there anyone who would be able to help (I am using safari, for the record. not sure if this is useful information or not)? Unfortunately for me I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 5 AM and will be gone for a week and I'd like to have it on my ipod or at LEAST my computer for my trip so that leaves me like 5 hours to download this thing... Someone please help! Thanks!

I would also like to add that I've watched almost the entire thing on youtube and I am soooo fantastically impressed! Great job TOIOU! Congratulations on an amazing product!

Should be able to. I've moved downloads around before. Just pop the .torrent open in your other client, point it at the same path, make sure that the new client scans the files for existing progress (This'll probably happen automatically, but if not, you'll end up re-downloading everything you've done so far.) then fire up the new client (make sure you've stopped transmission first so they aren't trying to write to the same files)

12/26/09 12:28 AM

The speed isn't a big deal here, I'm downloading the MOV file which is 9gb. A 9gb torrent is usually pretty slow unless it has like 100 seeders. I'll wake up tomorrow and it'll be done, I started downloading at around 10am.

12/26/09 12:32 AM

PS3 problems? Should I continue downloading that one?

12/26/09 12:33 AM

Using Nero 9 Burning Rom and trying to burn the DL DVD

I'm getting a "DVD-Video files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?"

Events also show "Backup file 'VTS_01_0.BUP' should be identical to 'VTS_01_0.IFO'"

.......Not too sure how far i should go with this.

12/26/09 12:35 AM

Hey, I just fired up the 1080p version in VLC, and the chapter labels are all messed up. They're all "??(first letter of track title, in lower case)". Is that just a VLC issue, and something I wouldn't notice if I was using Quicktime? (which isn't going to happen. I'll just deal with it.)

Also, noticed that the 1080p version is 24fps, while DLDVD is 30. Can anyone provide a list of which versions are (or will be when released) at which frame rate?

Finally finished downloading the DL version smiling smiley, of course I'll be seeding this for a long time. Now downloading the 1080 version.

I'm going to bed right now, when I wake up I'll try to burn it, in the meantime this is what I would do if I receive any error messages: First try to burn an image file (iso) then mount it with Nero DriveImage. If everything is OK your computer's dvd player app (cyberlink, windows media, etc) should start playing it as it was a real dvd disc. Hope it helps.

I got exactly the same problem, and the resulting image isn't valid. However, here is the fix for it:

1) Navigate to the VIDEO_TS folder in the downloaded files

2) Move VTS_01_0.BUP out of that folder to a safe place. (So that you can put it back later if I'm wrong)

3) Make a new copy of VTS_01_0.IFO and rename it to VTS_01_0.BUP (now the files are identical for sure)

4) Burn an image to disc. This time you shouldn't get the error message.

optional: 5) I recommend trying to mount the resulting image with something like Daemon Tools Lite, which is basically a DVD drive emulator, so that you can see if the image is playable before you write it to a disc. Get it here, is very useful: [www.soft82.com]

Worked for me!

@toiou team: AWESOME work! But please tell people how to fix this issue.

Thanks everyone, I'm off to watch it... :-D

I got the same problem. Can someone explain what's the deal with the bug? I already have more than 50% downloaded of 720p PS3 version. Shall I keep leeching or wait for the new file and start over...?

Also, GREAT work! Damn, sometimes it looks even better than BYIT Bluray grinning smiley. Can't wait to watch it on big TV. Keep it up, TOIOU!

Thanks nmelville that did work and i actually found that out not long before i had just looked at your post but after doing that I'm starting to wonder if it broke the menus, I seem to have lost the red tick on song selection and setup so i end up not knowing what I am selecting.

The menu animations are fine and the sound clip loads like it should, all of the concert is fine but the red tick went AWOL for some reason, weeeird..

I tested it in VLC prior to burning and the red tick was still there although this was pre-BUP/IFO fiddling.. so it makes me wonder.

Anyone else have this issue?

12/26/09 4:24 AM

Hi thelastdisciple, glad it worked for you.

It shouldn't have broken the menus, since those files don't contain any information about such detailed menu graphics. Plus, I still get the red ticks on the version I burnt.

So it can't be this I'm afraid!

By the way: I just took a blind guess at which IFO/BUP file was the correct one. We could try duplicating the other one instead. Probably won't make any difference though.
