It's like saying your an expert painter because you know all the different types of brushes, or because you know all the functions on a camera your a pro photographer. It doesn't work like that.
Not saying this is gonna suck, there are people who have natural editing abilities, usually due to how aware they are of shows they watch, and just instinctively understand how stuff should be edited.
Very well put. I've been reading a lot of technical mumbo jumbo on here and the bulk of the edits I've watched have been pretty lame with no sense of timing, poor shot choices or continually falling back on the CAM 1 master shot (which in the case of the Victoria show is badly underexposed for the majority of the time). As an experienced editor I'm hoping that people find my cuts of the Victoria show more lively and exciting than others online.
