So, no bluray for me. And you need to change all your display hardware.

It's pretty clear you have no idea what DRM's are. Why would synthetik place DRMs into a fan-made dvd first off? Especially one where the artist has given permission to record his material?? And did you read the part where he said he would be torrenting the project for everyone to downlaod? What are you going to say next? That linux doesn't support downloads? You sound like a poorly informed conspiracy theorist.

1) I was talking about bluray disc format itself.

2) Bluray doesn't give anything better right now as DVDs are more used, but in a few years, maybe.

3) I'm using linux for nearly 5 years.

4) DVD are a lighter format.

5) Thanks for the "poorly informed conspiracy theorist.". I do like this smiling smiley

1) so you're saying that blu-ray as a format has DRM's built into it? i hope that's a joke. because you're completely wrong. DRM (Digital Rights management) are introduced by creators of media to prevent copyright infringement. The media itself doesn't come built in with any. And i'm willing to bet the farm on the fact that synthetik isn't about to introduce any into his own blu-ray that he's making for the community.

2) what do you mean blu-ray doesn't give anything better? it clearly has better storage, and better output resolution. did you see even see the dvd vs. blu-ray post he made? why do you think people buy blu-ray in the first place? because they think the name is prettier? sure DVD's are more used, but he's talking about an HD footage project, and blu-ray is the only physical format that will let him take full advantage of HD resolution. if you don't like blu-ray... DOWNLOAD THE TORRENT. lol.

3) no one cares.

4) huh?

5) you should.

I really want a copy of this on Blu Ray. Let use know how much we have to pay for shipping?

What the fuck are you smoking? You can't even put HD material on a DVD. Go buy a ps3 and byit on blu-ray, watch it, then shut up.

10/21/09 8:40 AM

I am really interested as well... look forward to hearing more.

Best advice I can give you : to keep release in a timely fashion, make sure you keep the team as small as possible. Over 5 people can cause unnecessary delays, whether everyone is located in the same area or not.

[2 NEW UPDATES]

1) We are now accepting Design & Cover Art Submissions for the project !!
Please post your designs HERE or on this ETS thread. We're excited to see what everyone can come up with !!

2) We are ALSO accepting Title suggestions.
(and yes, "The Day the World Went Away" has already been suggested.... several times)

- synthetik

This link is still broken fixed.

More title suggestions
"The Lights in the Sky Are Waving Goodbye"
"Mostly Gone Some Other Place"
"In Arms of Undertow"
"Into the Void"
"I've Done All I Can Do"

Although, I must say, my favorite is "After All is Said and Done" as submitted by kyan.

Count me down for a physical copy as well.

10/21/09 1:44 PM

Title Suggestion:
Sweet Smell of Sunshine
All I Do
Too Fucked Up To Care Anymore
Decay

10/21/09 6:38 PM

Since people are posting title suggestions here, I'll throw my suggestion (posted in the ETS thread already) out here as well:

LAST

It's to the point and accurate... probably easier for design than a longer title too.

LAST is a great Title name !!!!!!!

10/23/09 8:27 PM

I will certainly spread the word and help in any other way I can (as someone with little to no artistic or video editing talents at all). I could edit the hell out of the text, but I suspect you can all spell "nine inch nails" "wiltern" and "fucking amazing" without my help.

Thanks to all in advance for the work that is going in to this and for capturing the footage in the first place. I wouldn't have been able to focus on anything but the show (and have a crap camera anyway).

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

10/24/09 7:49 AM

Title Suggestions...

Closer

The Last Wish or perhaps The Last Hurt

Yeah, they're probably both over-suggested and cheesey but that seems to be what I'm good at.

10/24/09 7:51 AM

LAST gets my vote as well.

As great as the Webster Hall fan project is, I'm still blown away by your footage, Synthetik. Too bad you couldn't have been filming at ALL the club shows. Would love to have that quality video of the Chicago shows.

smileys with beer Cheers to all the incredibly talented and GENEROUS NIN fans. Many many moons ago I was involved in the editing of a small hospital instructional video. It took us days and days of editing to get one lousy 10 minute video finished. I can't even imagine the time people like Synthetik and ASH512 have to put in to produce their projects. For what it's worth, I'd happily pay whatever asked for a hard copy of these fan produced videos.

Saying "thanks" doesn't seem like enough. Interested in my first born?

How about "In This Twilight" as a title? Simple but effective, I'm thinkin'...

10/24/09 10:12 AM

i'm for LAST as well, as "Wave Goodbye" is very likely going to be the working title for the official footage

That title has already been taken for a LiTS project if I am not mistaken.

LadyP... if you think like the quality of my video footage... wait 'til you see the quality of the other footage we've collected. It blows mine OUT OF THE WATER... seriously.

correct. "in this twilight" (as good of a name as it is) was taken by a torrent project of some sorts... which is why TOIOU couldn't use that name for "the gift."

After All is Said and Done is great

Gets my vote

This is indeed GREAT but i believe you guys should really think about a regular DVD DL release. Even if blu-ray is great, i believe it is a lot of people around the world don't have it or don't even have the capacity of reading the files. So, you should consider that for those who will not be able to enjoy this and will not buy a blu-ray player (or even can't) just for this.

As for names

"The Twilight Hour"
"Doesn't it make you feel better?"
"The Last March"
"Cruel Beauty"
