I absolutely must put my 2 words in..
i have been traveling across the country and overseas my entire life. i cam across the chance to reside in victoria for 3 years full time (before/after the “SFMC “).
If there is one thing that i miss the most about the city it is by far the amount of eccentricity and creativity that flourishes within the heart of it. I must confess that i too was at first slightly disgruntled with the construction of the arena however, this arena (i came to witness) has hosted so many beautiful people and brought so many walks of life within the city together as a whole one evening at a time… tha last show i saw before i left the city was a BB king concert.. people of all ages attended.. families, young couples, loners, fellow musicians, hippies, etc. i’m not sure where i fit into the list however i absolutely loved the concert (2 hrs i will never forget).. HOWEVER ,
i have been a nine inch nails fan since the eighties as-well, and have experienced many live hours i will never forget with that band.
i think that victoria needs acts like this in order to remind people that; yes! victoria has got it all..
I must say that so far, that city will always hold a special place in my heart. i miss it’s absurdity & it’s extremes.
Victoria is beautiful in it’s own way entirely but mostly for it’s diversity.
we are all different, that’s what makes us amazing!
variety is the spice of life and if we choose to be so confined to our own thoughts and beliefs, we will indefinitely lose what makes victoria what it is.
