i_tried member Joined: 08/01/09 Location: sweden Posts: 20	well there won't be a link to this, but; in the south of sweden, one radio station has this competition called "nail in the foot". it is about who has the worst summerjob. people call, and talk about how many body liquids and dead animals they have to be around when at their work. then a jury ask them about it, and decide which person out of three is suffering the most, and s/he goes to the final. it has this little intro song, where the radio people sing nail in the foot and scream a bit, all in their false broken voice and they've taken the first 20 minutes or so of Dicipline to use as their intro song. i just find it kinda amusing, and disturbing.

He sings, plays guitar, does music trivia and sometimes has karaoke. It's a good time. He mostly does music from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, sometimes with a few from the 80s. We were there this past week and he was asking for requests so my father-in-law yelled "How about some Nine Inch Nails!!!" half kidding. He actually surprised us with a few lines of Hurt, Johnny Cash style.

I know it isn't a direct NIN reference because it means The Sea and is probably all over every beach town, but I still thought it was pretty damn cool.

A blogger blogged (OMG!!!!!!!!) about the first day of the Arvika festival for a massive Swedish paper ( [blogg.svd.se] ) and mentioned nin. "Trent Reznor may seem like a weird kind of guy but according to the very sweet receptionists at [wooooo, top secret hotel!!!! OK, there's probably like 1 hotel in Arvika but... you can't go back in time, nor forward really, to stalk them], he and the band were 'the most wonderful of the wonderful', 'totally sweet' guys who also appeared quite interested in pottery. They had looked appreciatively at a poster featuring pottery being exhibited at a museum in Arvika. It's like the time I was having coffee next to Nitzer Ebb and they kept nibbling cookies." D'aww.
