I finally bought the And All That Could Have Been live DVD. AMAZING! What I can't seem to find out is why the .vob files won't play on my PC (Windows) after copying from the DVD. I've copied plenty of other .vob files from DVDs onto my PC and played them using VLC media player. The AATCHB files just replay scrambled. Does anyone know if this was a security measure? I only want to copy them to my PC because it's faster than loading the DVD every time I want to play it. Protecting a DVD would seem to go against NIN's more open philosophy on sharing media. I bought it through NIN.com legitimately. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

sorry, not sure if it's okay to discuss copy protection here, but this site may help you

Question: What song would you want Trent/NIN to cover?

I'd like to hear them cover "We Built This City On Rock And Roll" by Jefferson Starship. I'd like to see if they could take the worst song in history - to put it politely - and make it awesome.

What song would you like to hear covered?

Question:
Why was a video made for every song off Broken but Last?

Alternate phrasing: Why wasn't a video made for Last if every other song off Broken has one?

Suck and Physical don't winking smiley

I don't think Trent (or the late Peter Christopherson) ever addressed this, but I would go out on a limb and guess that they did, but it came to the same issues as EDIETS and they killed it early.

That makes sense. Not satisfactory sense, but sense nonetheless.
As for Suck and Physical, come on man. Come oooooooooon.

Trent has said a couple of times that he plans to do an album for the end of this year.

Which inevitably means it'll be mid 2012.

You say the soundtrack for "The Girl with the dragon tattoo"?

The more time, the better. I read Trent say in 2008 that The Slip was more of "a sketch", whereas albums like The Fragile and Year Zero are paintings, and that he wants the next NIN album to be a painting. I can wait as long as needed for another album on the same level as TF or YZ.

I'm happy to wait, it's cockteasing that annoys me heh - "soon" is far more aggravating than no word at all tongue sticking out smiley

Just wondering if anyone knows if I'd be able to use the AiR logo on an album (cc licensed, of course). I don't wanna use it as album artwork, just a little sticker on the back next to the CC bar code.

It wouldn't be CC, it would be copyright, so you have to contact [www.rebelwaltz.com] or Interscope

I have been listening to Things Falling Apart and have from the NIN website from many years ago, La Mer (Version) and No You Don't (Version) mp3s that are not included on the album. Are there lossless versions of these files available? Were these tracks ever released on another format?

02/11/11 11:36 PM

I don't know but I would love to have these, and the fragile version that use to be on nin.com back in the day

Only mp3 exists at the moment, but I'm hoping that the fragile's deluxe package will have all of these variations

do you like raising people's hopes knowing _you_ aren't taking blames if it won't?
