I was also at Sonisphere yesterday and was completely unimpressed with NIN, as the sound was so shitty I had no idea what they were playing. And now I will contradict myself and say that Hurt and March Of The Pigs were audible but everything else was drowned out by appalling bass rumble which oddly enough ruined Janes Addiction @ o2. Speaking as a long term admirer of Trent as a unique musical innovator the performance @ Knebworth was quite hapless. If this was the last time Trent appears in Britain/Europe it was a very downbeat performance, however following those UTTER UTTER FUCKERS limp bizkit onstage probably killed any enthusiasm he may of had to start with. Any way Yesterday belonged to Lamb Of God & Machine Head both of whom were absolutely brutal and destroyed the rest of the bill.

does anyone know if trent will allow people to say hi to him and the band at the last couple shows or anything like that?

thanks.

I think that is on Trent. Usually he tries to avoid the crowd though. So If it happens, awesome, but don't plan on it.

Ok so seriously.... I live in Phx and wanted to fly out to LA to see one of the last shows, because I have been listening to NIN since I was 14 and made my lil bro listen to them when he was 3 and took my kid to the show in Phx as his first concert......and I thought that was retarded enough trying to fly out to LA to see NIN, but to find out no tix are avail....even if you try and buy them 15 min after they go on sale and TO TOP IT ALL OFF people are trying to sell them for $1500....are you fuckng kidding me???!!!! It was disappointing enough to see "The last NIN show" but as disappointing as it was in Phx......to find that the tix for the next show are being sold for $1500...and this is the one thing Trent is supposedly fighging for is just disgusting...I dont' know what to think at this point.....

Also: Why is My Chemical Romance headlining the Summer Sonic Festival over NIN? That totally sucks! haha. Overall, the festival looks awesome.

Dude, they were gone about 7 seconds after they went on sale. In some cases, they were gone BEFORE they went on sale.

And a majority of tickets are in the fans hands. Not all of them, but a good 98%. I think that's a win over how it could have been.

I'm still bewildered by what I saw at Knebworth (Sonisphere).

Thought Trent was huffy and disinterested. I'm convinced they finished 10-15 minutes early, which for a 1 hour slot (and the main reason I travelled down to England) is shocking.

Oh, and I thought Limp Bizkit were quite entertaining actually....although I was a wee bit drunk/high at that point. smiling smiley

Anthrax were tremendous on the saturday, dont you think?

I have a question/problem about the lights used in the show

This summer NIN came to Portugal, so as a devoted fan I drove in a car for 5 hours to go see them. When I got to the place they were playing in, there were stickers EVERYWHERE saying the lights used in the show, the strobe lights, could be bad for sensitive people. Seing I don't have a problem with seisures, I thought I'd be okay.
I was really surprised when I realised the lights were making me feel horrible... I started feeling bad when Peaches used the strobe lights in her show, and then got really bad with the strobe light testing right before NIN... I ended up nearly fainting, had to be taken off the front row, and then I vomited. I was in that spot in the front row for a long time, so for a while people thought I might've not eaten or drank much water, but I drank about 5 bottles of water and ate a big mother fucking bread with choriço so... I don't think that was it!
Did anybody else have a problem with the lights? I easn't able to even look at the stage after that, I'd feel dizzy and sick all over again! I was terribly sad for missing the show, but I had no choice =(

You may have epilepsy. You should probably talk to a doctor about that.

I didn't have an epilepsy episode or what ever you call it, I just... nearly fainted. I just recently made some medical analisis and there is absolutly nothing wrong with me, I'm just sensitive to motions and quick images (I once had the same reaction watching a movie).

08/08/09 10:48 AM

It can just be incredibly disorienting/overwhelming if you're up front. I've felt similar in a very tiny, sweaty venue with an intense light show (Innerpartysystem).

Many people with epilepsy report feeling nauseous and having a serious headache when being exposed to strobe lights. Continued exposure could result in a seizure. Just something to think about. As your describing the symptoms many people with very mild epilepsy have. But I'm not your parent. I'd just say it may be something to mention to your doctor during a check up or something.

Thanks for the concern. The next time I'm with my doctor I'll let him know what happened! I surely hope it isn't something serious.

@endlessly: Well, at least I don't feel so alone now. It was terribly disorienting as you said, I guess I was hoping my sensitiveness wouldn't bother me right at that moment... =\ and actually, the day after that on another concert some strobe light was used, and I was far away from the stage and it didn't really bother me that much!

in the begining of the video what are the two things that trent is using for his effects. sorry if already posted! smiling smileyhttp://vimeo.com/3388630

Will there be any addtional CA shows added to the farewell tour? They were all immediately sold out due to the smaller venue size..

The large screen on the left is a Lemur.
That's all I know.

Why is it that they arent using the screens like they did on the Lights in the Sky tour? It was intense and so creative. Is it just because of the stage sharing with JA? Will they have them at the last North America shows?

These venues are too small for any real light set up.

They cut back on the lights because using such an elaborate set up made the show feel staged and less like a concert should to the performers. The LITS setlists varied very little compared to what NIN played in the NIN|JA tour. This was mainly due to them not being so bogged down by that aspect of production.

I need help, and I can't find it anywhere.

The age limit for the Bowery Ballroom show was 16+ (under 16 to be accompanied by a parent). I triple checked and had it verified on ETS.

AFTER I bought two tickets (I know I'm very lucky to have them too)... the age limit on nin.com changed to say 18+. When nin was added to the Bowery website it said 18+ too.

No one will respond to any of my questioning emails, and the show is coming nearer and nearer. Tickets are non-refundable and in someone's name that is 17 and a half...

Can anyone help me? I don't want to pay for a trip to NYC to get turned down at the doors.
Even an additional email address or phone number would help...
(The Bowery Ballroom only has a voice recording.)

Pep, you said no one will respond, but have you tried anything beyond calling the venue? Has the person whose name is on the tickets e-mailed nintix@musictoday.com? Are you the person in question who is too young to attend?

From the ticket purchase confirmation e-mail:

IF YOU HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE QUESTIONS PLEASE REPLY TO THIS EMAIL OR SEND AN EMAIL TO NINTIX@MUSICTODAY.COM AND INCLUDE YOUR ORDER #, YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, YOUR NAME, AND THE NAME AND DATE OF THE EVENT.

and

Tickets will be held for you at the special entrance the day of the event. You must bring your confirmation e-mail receipt, picture ID, and credit card used to purchase the tickets online. **THE CUSTOMER WHOSE NAME APPEARS ON THE TICKETS MUST ATTEND THE EVENT AND PRESENT A VALID PHOTO ID TO PICK UP THEIR TICKETS AND FOR ENTRY. NO NAME CHANGES ARE ALLOWED AT ANY TIME FOR THIS EVENT**

The confirmation e-mail also mentions that the show is 18 and over only, so best of luck with all of this. What a shame it would be to see those tickets go to waste.

" Are you the person in question who is too young to attend? "

I'm assuming there are more than one at this point. It DID say 16+ before tickets went on sale.

Thank you, I've tried emailing nintix three times with no response.

Hi, not sure if this issue has already been addressed, but I recently was able to snag ticks for the 8/25 Terminal 5 show when nin posted the link on twitter, however I might have acted too hastily without knowing the full details regarding Ticketmaster's paperless tickets.

During the nin.com presale I distinctly remember being given the option to choose whose name the tickets would be under, however Ticketmaster gave me no such options, and now it seems that the tickets are under my mother's name. (Given that it was my mother's credit card, and myself not having one.)

Do you think there's going to be a problem gaining access to the venue if i had the corresponding credit card and my mother's id, or am i out of luck?

Thanks.

Take your Mom prolly the only way you are getting in at this point.

Paperless is to cut down on scalping and they are not allowing name changes for these shows so that's prolly the only option.

I doubt they'll have an issue if you share a last name or bring the credit card. I'm in the same boat as you. Both my ticketmaster and one of my nin.com presale names are my mother's and not mine. I'm not too concerned however. I'll just bring a printout of the order confirmation e-mail and the credit card i used to purchase them.
