what was the problem the the peeps who had passes not getting backstage?

What kind of instructions were you given when you got the passes? Did you go directly to someone after the show?

And with the free tix...did you have to wait in line with everyone else or did you get to go to the pit first?

Different this time around.

I was seated on my couch with a good friend this evening here in Canada. We had some music in the background and the laptop was centered on the coffee table.

Was I there? At times ... yes... well most of the time!!

It was fucking wicked cool for us watching all these updates, pictures, comments popping up every few seconds - Real time - ... this Access/Earth thing was pretty fucking cool. I was able to communicate live with people in the amphitheater, and so were people in Portugal.

Trent that "go call this guy an asshole" thing was fucking hilarious ... I'm not sure what I would have done ... that dude was ox.

Metal? I never would have guessed... pretty cool how NIN went on stage with sunlight and exited left in the dark... to have Janes light up the night.

P.S. - Re-post from last night ... next time a mod deletes a well written letter please at least notify the person.

Question for all the people who went to the first show tonight when did NIN presale ticket holders get in vs Jane's presale ticket holders i.e. who got in first? I've seen this question come up a lot.

I have the same exact question! I only have GA for one of the shows I'm going to (Toronto) and had to get them from the JA site (the nin.com site was a cluster f*uck, the tickets were in my basket and processing when the site crashed - ugh). I'm hoping the JA pre-sale will call is organized and that maybe they consolidate both lines?

Did they have individual lines or just one for presales, regardless of band.

People were saying last night that there were two presale lines. I didn't ask if they were let in at different times.

ETA: I guess in WPB there was a problem with the tickets for the Jane's presale not coming in at the right time, and so they got into the venue a little later-- there was also a combined line for the pit.

My friend bought my pre-sale tickets for me, and I never received a confirmation email. My credit card DID get charged, so I know I got two tickets.

Is it true that you need to present a copy of your confirmation email at the will call?? Cause that'd be a major fucking bummer. All the past shows I've been to required NIN.com members to show photo ID at the will-call.

Anyone have any information that can help me?

The set list from Tampa sucks compared to West Palm Beach. I hope they go back to the set list they played last night.

I haven't got an email yet either and I'm going to the Austin show on tuesday.

For all the past tours the email just tells you what time you can start picking up yout tickets, and to do it at the nin.com window. All you need to pick up your tickets is your I.D. and the credit card you used to purchase the tickets.

So by the time NIN is coming to Europe this year JA is no longer on the tour [at least that's what it looks like on the tour dates page]. Still, the ticket I purchased says there is going to be another guest performance at the concert [Amsterdam, The Netherlands]. I was wondering if anyone knew who that guest might be.

Read this on the hotline this morning and would like to know if anyone has any more info or details about this. True, not true? If so, When? How? etc....

Also of note: Peter L wrote in with details about his experience at the show - and noted that "when I [picked up] the tickets, the NIN.com rep said that all pre-sale ticket holders could attend the sound check," something he wished he'd known about before because he'd already made pre-show plans. He also noted that "there was special VIP parking for pre-sale ticket holders that was much closer to the amphitheater than the regular parking."

Aren't pre-sale ticket holders generally allowed into the venue after the soundchecks? Seems like soundchecks have been happening around, what 3pm?
Anyone?
Bueller?

I just want to say that I was at the show last night in Atlanta and as always it was amazing. I have seen NIN every time they have been to Atlanta in the last 12 or so years and this one was probably one of my favorites.. most likely because a lot of the old songs were played. I truly hope that this is not the last tour as it would be a huge disappointment for me as these shows are one of the most exciting thing for me. I have been a loyal fan for many years and I respect the talent that you have and I wish you the best if this is truly the last tour.
Thank you for many years of great quality music and performances... I hope to see you again soon.

Not USD. T-shirts are looking to be $35 unisex, $40 for womens' and unisex XXL. there's a merch discussion thread with photos and prices going here.

Is there any archive of past tour dates anywhere? I'm sure I saw NIN open for The Jesus & Mary Chain in 1990. I wanted to verify the dat as 02/01/90.

So, I've had these two tickets for Chicago since they first went on sale. I've been looking for a job for a very long time, and I finally just got a call from AMC Theaters minutes ago, hiring me. The only thing is, my training is on the 29th.

So, how do I go about getting a refund or selling these? The person who has the ticket needs my ID, don't they?

05/13/09 7:32 AM

Tell AMC that you appreciate the offer and would love to work for them but the evening of the 29'th is simply out of the question.

05/13/09 8:01 AM

I would think twice before letting this job go just because you can't have the 29th off to go to the show. The economy is horrible right now and it's harder than hell to find a job. And if you've been looking so long for one...that sucks to have to give up the tickets, but I'd do it if it meant finally getting a paycheck and being able to support myself. Some things are more important than going to a concert. Like a job. I don't see why you couldn't sell your tickets if they're not personalized, but if they are, I don't have an answer for that one. I'm sure someone here could help you on that though. Sorry to hear you gotta give those up. sad smiley

05/12/09 10:48 PM

So...I've read enough horror stories about waiting forever to pick up pre-sale tickets and missing half of NIN's set in the process that I've decided to get to the venue incredibly early to make sure I don't have any problems.

However, I don't want to wait around for hours with tickets in hand waiting to get into the venue, either.

So, does anybody know if it's possible to pick up tickets early (say at 3:30), leave the venue, then come back later (perhaps at 6:30) to get into the venue?

I'm going to the Chula Vista show, by the way, and I have seats, so I really have no reason to line up before any music is played.

Thanks.

05/12/09 11:22 PM

If you have actual reserved seats, then there's no reason to get into the early entrance line. If you have GA, you can ask when early entrance starts, and if you don't care whether you're close to the stage (I think the GA at Chula is pretty large for this show), same thing. Yes, you can pick up your tix and come back later.

Yeah, I've been looking on and off for the past eight months. This was only the second time I've been called in for an interview of all the places I've applied. Some businesses are even forbidden to hire until further notice.

Hooow do I prove I'm not a scalper?

According to Trent, weekday shows start at 7.

According to TicketMaster, the Santa Barbara show starts at 5:30.

Which one is right, I really need to know.

Check the NINJA site...they have set times for all shows. And Santa Barbara is super early for some reason.

The Santa Barbara Bowl has a strict curfew of 10pm by law. So set times are earlier for this show.
