Like others, I'm looking for quality guitar tabs to get sound accuracy. I enjoy listening to songs and just playing similar notes, but what I enjoy more so is using theory to find the "exact" notes and fingering used. When it comes to NIN tabs, they are few and hard to come by. Yes, the more easily heard guitar songs like "Hurt" and "Hand that feeds" are tabbed frequently and easily, but what about "Ruiner", "Head Like a Hole", "Burn", the songs where theres so many overtones you just can't seem to make out whether there was 5 strokes on 1 string or 4. After listening to "Ruiner" to tab the solo, I decided after a few listens that the solo was recorded backwards, very Hendrix. It took me 10 minutes to tab out "Burn". It's a simple riff but getting it close is tough (I.E. its 10th fret D on the low E then open E, then 12th fret E then open E, then 15p0 17p0 18 and I'm still not sure the exact amount of strokes). I'd like this thread (If you've read this far saying "He's blind, there's already a thread for this", please tell me in a pm or on this thread because I've searched and not seen it) to be a guitar/bass request posting place where links for tabs on the internet can be placed, requests for them can be made, and you creative musicians out there to post ones you've tabbed yourself. My goal is a library of every NIN song tabbed for Guitar and Bass where possible. Join me in my quest. (HINT: Easiest thing to do is just have you damn NIN musicians to throw me a pick here and give some exact tabs.) You musicians out there should know where to go but a good place to start looking:

Ultimate-Guitar

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your posts and personal messages.
(In case this gets moved please send any good NIN tabs to me by PM)

Hey I happen to be one of the thousands into the style that Trent seems to go for (but not for that reason) and now, am noticing it rubbing off on other members? I'm into the clothing with military influence, but lack knowledge in where to find such clothing...I don't know any specific names describing different types and articles of clothing, and assume that is why my Google searches yield little or no results. I'm not stupid...it's just that I've just recently started caring how I look.

Anyway, I noticed the aforementioned style on Ilan in the recent live video of Letting You in Brisbane, and was wondering if anybody could help me find out where to buy a shirt like that?

i'd like a robin finck choker. anyone know the brand?

THAAAAAAAANKS.

Was yesterday (3/2) the 1 year anniversary of the release of Ghosts(download)? I have no clue why I'm asking, but it was on my mind this morning when I passed my deluxe box.

so, i've just found out that NIN is featured on the new trailer for the new Terminator.
i was hoping this would've got me by surprise while in theaters over the weekend while seeing 'Watchmen'. i'm still gonna hold myself back and wait until the weekend and hopefully they'll play this trailer in theaters.

and this led me to the following question:

was the first release of this trailer, an online release, or a theatrical release?

if it was a theatrical release...was it over the London premiere of 'Watchmen'?

P.S.- PLEASE, DON'T TELL ME WHAT SONG IS IN THE TRAILER, I'M PLANING ON FINDING OUT OVER THE WEEKEND! THANKS.

by the way, isn't starting a thread about giving away that NIN is featured in a movie trailer, ruining the element of surprise, and considered as a spoiler?

that should be enough bitching for now.

I've been looking all over the place for a long time, but I cannot find a single good photo of Trent Reznor smashing a keyboard! I have a cool idea for this image, but without the image of him smashing a keyboard (something I thought NIN was famous for), I can't make it!

Can anyone help me out here? Does anyone know where I can find such a picture?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And FYI, my avatar is too small to be a suitable image.

I am looking for either chamber music or brass band tributes to NIN. I have found
A String Quartet Tribute to NIN however, I am looking for more. A quick search of the forums hasn't turned anything up. I would appreciate any leads or even a 'hasn't been done yet' comment.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

I HAVE THIS CD it's awesome. I used to be string player (Viola)and I loved playing in quartets more than with orchestras so I'm partial to strings. I know that a marching band did a NIN song and it's on You Tube, but I don't know of any brass ensembles. If I come across one I'll let you know Echos. drinking smiley

You think we could talk The Canadian Brass into doing a cover album? grinning smiley

I wonder if anybody could help...

I'm looking for the parts to the frail (version), does anybody know where I might be able to get hold of them? I really only want the first minute or so from when the strings start to play but I'm having such trouble trying to find them.

Thanks guys =D

Have you tried looking at Pirate Bat for the multi-tracks?

Just now, my efforts were fruitless.

I need the playable parts for a string quartet to perform, sorry didn't really make that clear first time around

I was listening to A Warm Place last night and around 11 sec. to 16 sec. there was a very small noise that I have never noticed the 1000's of times I've listened to it before. It sounds really erie and it sounds like there are dogs barking along with the erie noise. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, what do you think it is or means?

no, seriously, it sounds like a weird flute, or a weak alarm noise.

How come there is no With Teeth forum?

Just been thinking about Reznors involvement in Antichrist superstar and was wondering if there are rumours (or even facts) as to any tracks that never made it onto Antichrist, just looking for any further production work by TR

"The Apple of Sodom" from Lost Highway and "The Suck For Your Solution" from Howard Stern's Private Parts are both Antichrist b-sides. "Long Hard Road Out of Hell" (Spawn soundtrack) is from the same time period, but I'm not sure if Reznor was involved or not.

when this forum was first created, Year Zero was the latest release. they've been adding each new album since. also notice how there's no forum for The Fragile, The Downward Spiral, or Pretty Hate Machine.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but do you need an access code for the ticket sale tomorrow? I registered twice on the ticket sales page and did not see an access code or even an access code field anywhere. If this is not the right thread to post this kind of question, please be kind and direct me to the right place.

ok.. so i was wondering...why nin changes members so many times..
is trent reznor that hard to get along with???????
i have seen interviews with chris vrenna (old drummer) and he was saying that he will never rejoin nin. anyone know what happened?

03/16/09 9:12 PM

I'm not sure what happened between Trent and Chris but it's very clear that they don't exactly have kind words for each other, even though they were roommates back in the day in Cleveland. (I invoke fair game on this fact as it came from an interview.)

Read what's been said about Chris on another forum and, yeah, they aren't exactly friends anymore.

03/17/09 10:21 AM

where is the forum that talks about chris?

03/17/09 12:00 PM

is charlie clouser still sellin' tacos?
