Personally, I think that it is the stupidest, and yes "creepiest" thing I have ever seen. Trent Reznor, is a human being, a musician, and a friend to many people. Yes, I believe in art, yes, I believe in good music, I think Trent is a genius with music, but other than that...well, that's it. I can see why he would find this shit creepy... do any of you actually listen to his music? His lyrics? Using stuff like "you get me closer to god" has nothing to do with Trent thinking of himself as "God" so not sure why anyone would reference that. I don't want to start a fight, I just think that people should realize that Trent is a person no matter what, not a god, not jesus, not a saint, not anything but an animal like the rest of us. No, I don't believe in "God" I just think it's stupid to label a person as such...it seems to me that gives any one person way to much power...

Do you think him using the lyric "I am turning into God" was literal, or do you think that he meant that this is how others see him? Not sure, but I still feel that he doesn't in any way feel like a god.

Because it was pure irony. The song Vessel has nothing to do with Trent Reznor being looked upon by others or even feeling godlike himself. It is written in the context of the whole Year Zero concept and (that is my guess) probably about a soldier from the future that has consumed drugs.

And regarding the picture itself: I think you take it way too serious. For me it's a tribute to Trent. It is exaggerated, but that is a usual method in art to express yourself. I don't think that the person who made this thinks that Trent is God.

I think that pic was created for jokes tho. I doubt the person that made it was being serious (even tho there are people who are like that..I don't think they would make a picture quite like that). Made to get a rise out of people and now it's on nin.com lol I think they succeeded. The Jesus one that is.

Ummm... I think it is perfectly fine for someone to express their opinion, like I said, I wasn't trying to start a fight, but there are way too many people in here who use Trent in the context of "god" I see it almost every time I am in a Forum of some sort. As far as the whole lyric thing, I was referring to the people who repeatedly use "you bring me closer to god" to reference Trent in that way.
