Gorgeous sunrise in my gorgeous city (well, I think it's a gorgeous city, anyway...)! As for the "pink sky at night..." stuff, it did actually rain a little bit yesterday, but that was in the afternoon. :p Four seasons in 5 minutes pretty much sums this place up. And if it does rain one must realise that it'll still be hot and humid, so going to the beach is a pretty fine idea. lol

The sunrise was pretty down under this morning. . rose at about 5:25am QLD time, so it would have been earlier in NZ smiling smiley

Only it would be that much better if he was taking photos with an actual camera.

Not bad for an Iphone though...I might add.

Does this man ever sleep in??

02/18/09 7:04 PM

I slept in on the morning after the Auckland NIN show! Late check out thank god...

I asked the hotel at check in if a Mr. Reznor was staying in house.
They couldn't help me with that request so I'm not sure if TR was staying at the Langham!

Who out there knows AK well enough and can guess what hotel that pix was taken in/from?

There was a previous post a few pages back of someone who bumped into him at the hotel they were staying at so they'll know. I like that they didn't post which hotel though, gives the band a bit of privacy and downtime.

My two highlights of the show have to be Non-Entity and Suck.
Aplologies to anyone I was sitting with for screaming my head off. I was too damn excited.
If its of any consolation I still have no voice.

I was at the '05 With Teeth tour in Edmonton, Alberta.. and at the Dec.1st show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan show. I must say that both concerts brought an incredible amount of energy. The show in saskatoon, this winter, was an estonishing announcement when i head Trent will be coming here. this was something i thought would never happen. And, as i witnessed the croud from the 6th row in the seating area, what i noticed between screaming and rockin to the music, was that there was a lot of people just standing there... motionless...

I ask myself, wtf is going on. At the concert in edmonton a couple years back, the crowd was pumped, thriving with that energy that makes a great concert experience. I had to not only stop rocking, but have to divert my attention from Trent presenting his art. Why are these people here, i had to wonder. Do they not know who NIN is? Are they just so fucking retardedly stoned out of their heads, that they cant physically enjoy the music, at the same time as keeping upright..?

I still scratch my head at times, try to wonder what the fuck is going on. I feel that the youth, these days, are not aware of who, or what, NIN is. I cant feel but really sadened about the announcement of what will be become. I only can hope that this is just a repeat of what Trent has gone thru with redeveloping NIN back with the Fragile. Just another break,... i can only hope!

Trent man.. youre great! i support your decision to do what you have to do. I may not fully understand it, but youre an intelligent intellectual, and i know you know whats best for... well, you!

Since '95, i've been there. You've been a great part of my teenage years, and the redefining 20's. I'll be turning 29 in march, and still love the music of NIN just as i did when i first heard 'the downward spiral' when i was 15...

I see where the sun is shining. The sun IS shining in Auckland. smiling smiley Funny, I saw only 10 minutes of the afternoon sun today. The jokes started to fly as I stood looking out over the city -not to different from this picture. But as the sun went down and the next flow of tasks kicked-in my jovial quips dissipated. I really do look at the sunrise and think maybe…just maybe…

Inspired by the sun, mesmerized by the moon, calmed by the land and lured by the sea.

Thanks for the photo. Its one way a person can give the sun, the moon and the stars and inspiration to another.
