he's doing what he's expected to do. do we now give out meet and greet prizes for band members doing just exactly what we expected them to do? don't get me wrong - ilan is fab, but pics of drums getting a battering isn't exactly earth shattering. I don't know what I want. but soundchecks to gigs I'm not getting to - lovely. I'm sure. beat out that rhythm on a drum.

Yet another fine example of what the rock god of design can shoot for us.

Thank you Mr. Sheridan.

I wonder what colour he chose?

He chose 'regular nail' color. the nails were well done though! I saw them alright!

I suppose that there am everything this in the soul of trent..and I wonder me if indeed it will abdicate 20 years of his/her job

06/07/09 6:35 AM

AHHHH The madatory NUCLEAR EXPLOSION SHOT! VERY COOL!~and very bright on eyes that were out very late at a lakeside pic-a-nic with chums...(Slurples coffee)

That glamorous life painting is cool. I don't have very much artistic talent and know I couldn't do anything nearly that good but...my first reaction was that it looked like Elvis and the more I'm looking at it I'm seeing something about it that reminds me of Robert Smith in that "male-pretty" sort of way, which is contrary to what we know and see of Mr. Trent. He's much more angular, harsher/harder in most pics, with a kind of back off stare (The quintessential "Bad Boy" image)...and I think the BIG throw off in it is the eyes. I have blue eyes with green and some yellow around the pupils, and though they change color all the time, they can't ever turn hazel brown/green, which, I THINK are the color of Mr. Reznor's, if I remember correctly (From the INTO The VOID video), so that gives it a feel that something's a little off too possibly...at least for me...that doesn't make it bad though.

I think overall it's VERY well done and a very good painting, it's just a VERY stylized/idealized portrait. It's the artist's vision/perception of Trent, as is any artist's portrait of any other human being...it's even possible to catch someone at a strange angle with photography and although you KNOW it HAS to be a true depiction of the person, because it IS the person, if the angle is strange it can look like someone you don't know so...I think it's all in perspective and perception.

here, can anyone confirm or disprove the rumour i have heard that nin are coming back to the uk/ireland in november cus they're only playing in festivals over summer!?!?!??!?! (please please please please PLEASE let it be true!)

also, anyone else noticing Trent's obsession with pigs in his songs? tongue sticking out smiley

06/07/09 9:09 AM

Holmdel was the first concert i went to. March of the pigs was great. Mr. Self Destruct was different. Great show nevertheless! The thing that was funny is that tom morello told everyone to get up. You cant have a good show with everybody sitting. I loved JA when they performed. Guy was crazy!

C'MON PIGS! MARCH!

Are these images listed someplace?

Once they go up on nin.com's home page where you go to view the archive? I know there is this site ( [ninblogs.wordpress.com] ) but they don't have all the pics.... any info would be great
