They do a pretty good job and it's very organized. But I wouldn't mind seeing what I'd be curious to see what Rob could do. Or maybe that's one of the features already in the works?
The Photoblog is a fleeting, unarchived thing. Because of the instant, casual nature of it, an official archive feels inappropriate - it's more about stopping by the site and seeing what the band is up to at that moment. Sometimes the photos are less about a photo of something and more about just keeping you updated as to where we are. We'll leave the archiving up to the fans, who are doing a great job of it anyway.
EDIT: And to clear up some confusion, the photos on the photoblog are all taken with our iPhones, then sent to an email address which posts them immediately on nin.com. This means that when a new photo goes up, it was probably taken less than a minute ago. Ally and Trent post their photos directly from their own phones, and the site knows whose phone the photo is coming from and labels the post accordingly. Obviously the quality of the photos is a lot less than what you'd see from a real camera (particularly during the concerts, which are extremely difficult to capture with a crap-ass iPhone camera), but they have a kind of interesting aesthetic to them (the era of low-quality cell phone photos is going to be a brief one, which will make these photos interesting relics five years from now), and the tradeoff of quality is the ability to get them on the site instantly, with absolutely zero effort. The photos you see on the Flickr account are the ones I take with a real camera (a Canon EOS 5D that I really want to upgrade).
