I was at that gig last night at Oxygen.

It was my first NIN gig and I already have to wave goodbye, 2009! ;_;

It shat rain and I'm currently dying with the flu, but it was totally worth it.

I just hope Trent didn't catch a cold or something. He was soaked the whole show with steam clouds rising off of him. By the end he was wearing an old man's coat cause he looked freezing.

Super awesome show. Best show of my life!

The Oxegen gig truly was something else. I don't think Punchestown has seen anything like that before.

Oxegen was my first NIN gig also. I enjoyed the performance so much. I felt sad when it was over, I didn't want it to end knowing it was probably their final performance ever in Ireland. I waved goodbye to Trent afterwards ;_;

Oh haha, and I kept saying to myself "Please don't be a dream!". I was hoping not to wake up suddenly and realise it was all just a dream. It felt so unreal seeing NIN for the first time. grinning smiley

My first NIN, or anyone, gig for that matter, I've never been to a festival before and didn't plan on going, but the last chance to see Nine Inch Nails in Ireland ?

Shit, I would have gone anywhere. It was worth the 10 hour wait :L

07/14/09 6:46 AM

I was there too and it was my first time seeing NIN in the flesh. I was only one person from the front directly in front of trent. I swear my heart was pounding through that entire show, it was the highlight of my year. I just keep saying to myself that it can't be over. I'm thinking about asking my parents to give me money to go to one of the NY or LA gigs instead of the big 21st birthday party I'm supposed to be having. It's worth it.

The sheer depth of emotion on his face during each song was captivating, he looked so intense. I've honestly never seen a performance like that before. Im so grateful to have had the chance.

07/14/09 11:56 AM

Why not go over to England to see them ?

Well..... you've got my attention. According to Trents tweet earlier today "Reprecussions to follow" Can't wait to hear what comes from this......

07/14/09 4:40 PM

I'm wondering what the repercussions could be too! I was at the NIN gig at Oxegen, got absolutely crushed up by the barrier but it was so worth it. I can't stop thinking about it. Highlight of my year so far.

I completely agree about the highlight of the year sentiment...
I got to hug him at the Camden pre-show.

I'm finding it hard to decide whether I'm more jealous of Grant Morrison for meeting TR, or of TR for meeting Grant Morrison.

(BTW, since we're on the subject, anyone know where I can find out how much a bunch of old GI JOE comic books are worth? Seriously, I found em when I was cleaning out my attic (Yes they're mine, from my teens. I used to read them and it's the characters from the new movie) eye rolling smiley LOL. I've had em for years I just thought, since the movie's coming out...just PM me/drop me a link, thx.)

Wait wait wait...is he gonna do a MOVIE OF IT (year zero)??? *sigh* the suspense if KILL-ING ME!!! SHIT!

Grant Morrison is a genius! A gloriously insane genius! He is in the top list of great comic book writers. That is an awesome pic! I wonder if comics came up in the discussion... we3 was amazing. Grant has such a way with words and characters.

Yeah, what Endlessly said.
...and I think my brain just melted thinking about what could come of that collaboration.

If a year zero comic got started, that could fuel the creation of a movie or tv series...
