Josh is on too many albums to count. He is THE hired gun for that kind of thing. He doesnt knwo half the stuff he does too. He just gets called in and works. He drummed on Avril Lavignes first album and didnt know it til he was told by a person that read the liner notes.

I like Josh, dont get me wrong, he's great but uhhh ... some of his credits make me a little glad he's not in NIN... I mean, he's on Kelly Clarkson's record and all... it sorta teeters on basically being a "sell out", whatever that really is at his level...

Hey a man's gotta pay the bills. And it helps him learn many different musical styles and make connections in the industry. You can't knock him cuz he loves to play the drums and make music.

What did I just say, he doesnt know half the things he drums on. Liek Avril Lavigne for example. He got a call in the middle of the night by the producer, said he had run into some problems with the drummer and the guy just blew chunkc, he asked Josh to come over and fill in. He had no idea what it was for, he went in there, they told him what was needed to be done, and thats that. A year or so later after that record came out, somebody told him ''hey I didnt know you drummed for Avrils albumm'', Josh responded ''I didnt either, where did you find out?'' they said ''I had read the album credits and yours is for all the drumming.. Dude, its a paycheck, and peopel want his talent cause he can play anything, so what if its for a pop singer on American Idol? He gets to do what he lovs, and thats drum. I have had a couple of conversations with him about it too, he is super nice and has lots of stories, very smart dude. LAY OFF.

Jane's Ritual de lo Habitual is an amazing album, the lyrics are just wonderful, one of my all time fav. Nothing's Shocking is really good too. Farrell does know how to write and put all that magic into words.

To each its own.

About Josh being a sell out... I don't think he has ever stated he's a rocker and he lives the music according to the "rock life style". he's a musician, an amazing drummer who can play comfortably different styles (NIN, Lavigne, Devo, GNR, etc...) He's a session drummer.

Another story is if we talk about sell outs like Slash, who ended up playing guitar for Marta Sanchez and Paulina Rubio LOL.

Those would be good too.

you're 12 years old? (saw your profile) thats amazing.
you didn't manage to see them live i guess?

I'm 13 now.
Yes, I saw them live on June 10th in PA. It was my first concert!

Right on, little dude! i was 13 when i saw NIN for the first time, which was also my first concert of any kind, and I turned out awesome! Little heads up though. Be prepared to eventually find yourself posting on a NIN board from an obscure location in a hotel you did not pay for.
