But yet, I strangely understand it, having written my share of wacky love letters to Trent over the years in my "bipolar moments" when I've immersed myself in too much NIN and felt that no one else could possibly understand me I just think that Trent's music is so heavily charged with emotion, and affects so many people on a deep libidinal level, that if you are a particularly sensitive or unstable or even empathetic person, it might be hard to separate the music from the person (Trent) from your own feelings and your own sense of self. It can sometimes all get tangled up inside That is why I also don't quite comprehend all these rules here about "no talk of Trent's girlfriends", whatever, because I think if you pose attractively in magazines as Trent does, and sing songs of sexual longing, etc. you are naturally going to affect people on a libidinal level and inspire interest in your sexuality and personal life. It's really to be expected. Well, I hope I don't get banned for speaking my mind.

It's just so ridiculous you just have to laugh, or you could have a hilarious conversation with that person just for fun... Also, if you aren't in the mood usually the first sentence or two will give you an indication as to the intelligence level of the sender, so you can just stop reading and delete it. In any case hopefully someday it'll be easier for some of your biggest fans to reach you without having to deal with mindless idiots.

I don't use facebook i just signed up when i had to create icons for this company and needed to see the facebook layout. So for name i used a fake name, one of millions i use, "trent reznor" I then never used the account for 6 months. Just the other day i come back and sign into it just for shits and giggles. What do i see? An inbox filled with letters from people who think i am trent. Some of them were so ridiculous i was like wow, i get creeped out sometimes when strangers read my myspace and i don't even know them. Trent on the other hand has followers who think he is a God and stalk the shit out of him rather than just appreciate the music alone. I totally understand bands like Slipknot that decided to keep their identities hidden and keep the focus on the music.

However, I do approve of TR's sense of humor in posting this email and kindly making us aware of the sender's address. If you do anything different there is someone who comes along and tries to bitch about it. I agree with a lot of the people on this forum, Wolfy is only thinking about themselves and not about anyone else. Apparently, just about everyone else has had no problems with the changes. If he or she was going to make a complaint about it, they should have done it with considerably more respect. That is just my opinion. You can't please everyone all of the time that is what it comes down to.
