I've been reflecting on this----- Actually, for me, I'm truly extremely glad it's being lined up this way. Trent's master plan is excellent, as always.
For me, being at a show and seeing the art in motion is deeply moving. So at the past 2 shows during LITS, when it was finally over at the end of the night, I kind of felt like the immediate "ok, now we have to herd our way out in this crowd and try to get out of here in barely moving traffic" cheapened the experience, by distracting me from important reflection time. It would be like waking up from a profound dream in sudden chaos and thus having a harder time recalling important details (if any fellow oneironauts are reading this you'll understand exactly what I mean). Did I still go away feeling like it was a life changing experience? Yes (as my first 2 times seeing NIN). But thinking about that and looking forward to how the sets are planned for this tour, I realize I am very much looking forward to this band sandwich as it was referred to in a prior reply, as it is going to delay the chaos of "the end" and allow me to integrate the experience in much more meaningful way.
