That all depends on where you do your "silent poll". Some of you are pretending that the only fans in the world are NIN fans and the only band that matters in the world is NIN. That's just small-mindedness. Everyone I know has been calling this the Jane's Addiction tour from the get-go. Why? Because that's the band my friends and I are obsessed with, just like you're obsessed with NIN. Open your mind.

So why am I here, a Jane's nut amongst a sea of NIN nuts? Because at first I thought we were gonna have a fuckin kumbaya about how mutually excited we were about this tour. I guess I arrived at a bad time.

Do something for trent? stop complaining? HUh? WHAT? I thought I did something for him when I spent 150 dollars to go to the show, or maybe it will be the 100+ I'll spend on merchandise?

Lick ass little kids. He wasn't being very clear on what the circumstances of this tour were going to be, if i knew beforehand my decisions may have been swayed a different way.

It's not to say I don't have faith in the man and maybe he's holding something back about how this is going to play out. We'll see though wont we? I hope it works out for the best.

What is this "beforehand" shit anyway? This show has always been billed as a co-headline show, and no closer was ever announced prior to this announcement. It's only called NIN|JA because NIN|JA is a hell of a lot cooler sounding (and easier to say) than JA|NIN. I mean right under the NIN|JA logo, it says, clearly "Jane's Addiction | Nine Inch Nails". In that order. It always could have gone either way. Frankly I thought they were maybe gonna switch it up night after night. You guys can't imagine NIN opening for anyone (news flash, they've opened for Jane's before), and we couldn't imagine Jane's opening for anyone. Is there any chance under the heavens that you can get over it? No one is going to believe your argument that the $150 you paid was for one band, when it has always been billed clearly as a three-band show with two headliners. This is just sour apples, and it's gotta be embarrassing for you. It's obviously embarrassing to TR, the guy you all seem to worship, but that's clearly not stopping you.

How many times can it be said? Sell your fucking ticket. There will be a hungry hand to grab it up, believe me. But all this whining. Jeeeebus. It's become truly pathetic.

I won't post here anymore. Just go and have fun or shut the fuck up and sell your ticket. Nobody wants to hear your boo-hoos anymore. Move on.

Well apologies to you and yours. These cry babies should be over it by then. At the end of the day... music is music, and a show is a show. If you need to have every concert tailored to your exact requirements, then better stay at home and watch the edits of the concert footage, then you can forward all the bits you don't like. However If you want an evening of live, raw, unscripted musical showmanship, then leave the expectations alone and enjoy this event for what it is, a fucking homage to 2 great bands in a league of their own.

I bet Jane's is pissed by all the lack of respect. And it must be really embarrassing for Trent. You're both fantastic, come out and do your thang!!

There is no reason to be disappointed. There is gonna be some serious music and you'll leave with a headache. Which will last for two days. Along with the pulsing of that same music being felt through the bottoms of your feet for four days.

04/29/09 7:08 PM

Kinda sucks, but the point is we still get to see NIN. I am not complaining since Trent was nice enough to swing by Albuquerque.

Actually you're doing very little for him by just spending on the tickets. And you're doing JACKSHIT by being spiteful and combative.

It seems to me you are ignorant of the cost and effort needed to put together and execute a tour. There's always the possibility a small amount of profit exists with each ticket sale, but I believe it is small enough that one person is not making a big splash by any means.

Exactly how much of that money do you think goes to final profit? A concert is not a fucking product. It is a process, as is music in general. The artist would like people to buy-in to the idea of participating so that the productions can actually happen. Without that, there's very little that's actually possible for an artist to execute, short of electronic release.

Trent was perfectly clear of the circumstances of the tour when the tickets went on sale. You sound like an idiot more and more with each post you've made. It is just embarrassing for everyone that you continue to behave this way.

No, you grow up. If Trent wants to do something we think it's okay because it's his decision. He doesn't need our approval.

Oh, and it's nice that you'd tell everyone to grow up right after saying something as juvenile as "flaming homo."

Thanks for posting this already Jaye.

SickMessiah, what exactly is it you're trying to say? You sound like an idiot when you say "kewl" and use hateful homophobic language.

Like redbull was to make all there products without sugar .. redbull fans like myself would be pissed .. It would still taste good to me .. but i wouldn't buy em near as often cuz of the lake of energy i would get from it .. I would still be a redbull fan .. But I wouldn't be near as satified .. iTS ISNT CALLAED A " PRODUCTION " FOR NOTHING ..

hERE IS THE DICTIONARY DEFINITION FOR YOUR ARROGANT FLAMING CORRECTING SELF ..

Anything that is produced, whether as the result of generation, growth, labor, or thought, or by the operation of involuntary causes; as, the products of the season, or of the farm; the products of manufactures; the products of the brain.

MUSIC IS A PRODUCT ..

Just like a thought or a feeling is a product. You're confusing the language. Product of the imagination =/= consumerized product designed for maximum mass consumption for the purpose of profit. Yes, the secondary function of most products of this nature is to aim to provide a genuine benefit to a specific need. Real musical art is not this case. It exists to serve any who participate. We arrive at a time where we have the technology to ensure music is no longer pigeon holed into the consumer product category where in the past that was the only way besides literal live experience of the process to connect the listener to the music.

The goal of most artists, albeit SIMILAR to the mass consumption model of consumerist products, of wanting their work to be heard by as many people as possible, is by no means existent for the purpose of serving practical needs or generating profit.

Trent has bills dude .. he is making profit ... he also has a kick ass studio , and house im sure made from profit ... They do aim to make profit .. I know thats not the main focus for him .. but it is important ... I know his soul is in the music and i relate to alot of it ... I need NIN to quench my soul like i need water to quench my body .. so in that aspect .. Its not easily seen as a product .. But still Even water isnt free .. You either gotta plum it with products .. drink it in or threw products , or packedge it in products ... Me and Trent both love Ice Mountain .... . And even a necessity like water makes profit ..

Well, I can honestly see why Trent's taking time off after this tour is over. I would too if I was him. I don't know how he deals with these fans. The amount of whining in here is downright sickening. Honest to god, who gives a shit about the order that they play?! I personally don't care who plays in what order. It's gonna be a great show and I can't wait to see all of them. And people bitching about them *only* playing for 90 minutes?! WTF? That's a long time in my book! These guys give it everything they have each night and have to be downright drained and exhausted after a show, and this is how the fans thank them, by all this pissing and moaning?! Show some fucking respect for these guys for once! They don't deserve all this bullshit! If you don't like how Trent has this all set up, then don't fucking go! End of story! Regardless who's playing when, I'll be there, enjoying every moment of it. I'm staying for all of it, because it's gonna be a kick ass show!

Trent and Co. deserve so much more respect than this. They REALLY do.

Yeah, in the end there is some kind of profit or final benefit from having followed what you love doing. We're in agreement here. Let the man set up this tour how he wants for HIS enjoyment. There is no way you can prepare properly for your own act and simultaneously get to watch an act that comes before you. The profit is what fuels the end goal of being capable of continuing to discover new innovations in the art and advance everyone's thinking in the process. Trent said in the digg interview specifically during the part about advice for new artists, about what they should seriously strive for if they want "to change the world" with their work. This is the real root of what musical art is about.

Janes is a great band and show, and NIN should close, but its gonna be an amazing show. would LOVE to see them play songs together!!!!!!
Shout it out maybe it'll happen.

04/29/09 9:48 PM

Ok, so....NIN are playing, so we all get to see them. They are playing with 2 other amazing bands. If we were to pay to see any of these bands individually, it would cost easily $50 a piece, if not more. So what's the issue with the amount it's costing to see them all together? And again, all 3 bands are incredibly talented so it's going to be a fucking awesome show. Is there actually a valid reason that people can't appreciate the talent and just enjoy themselves? I just haven't read one justifiable reason yet...

04/29/09 9:58 PM

you dickheads complaining about the daylight set times - IT'S ONLY LIGHTS!

going to see a band for the light show is like going to the movies for the popcorn, ffs.

who knows, maybe this time if your not all pigging out on popcorn the whole way through, you might just enjoy the movie more for the movies sake.

nin will be rocking the fuck out, this tour is more about the music and varied setlists, improvisational / spontaneous vibe that a light show doesn't work well with.

and i WISH i could see it, so shut the fuck up with the complaining.
