Who the hell cares if he has one post if he speaks the truth? I agree with him fully. I saw them on 5/20 in Irvine, CA. The production was just half-assed. Trent gave it his all like usual, but the stage felt really stripped down, like they were doing some in-promtu garage rehearsal. Only other time I have seen NIN was in 2000 on The Fragility tour, and it stands heads and shoulders above this pitiful show. All of you people who are staying just for Nails would be well advised to stay for the entire show. I'm not nearly as big a Jane's Fan as NIN, but they completely out-played NIN. I guess what it really comes down to is that I expected more from a fucking FAREWELL tour. It's your LAST TOUR and you play for a little over an hour, including no encore, and open and close with Terrible Lie and Head like a Hole, respectively. Great songs, but what the fuck? Worst farewell show ever.
Oh, and SSSC fucking blows. Shut up all you fucking fanbois. They are being completely and entirely carried by Tom Morello. Make no mistake about it. If he weren't in the band, they'd still be playing bars for $400 a night.
I guess you have not been following what has been going on. Unfortunatly Trent wanted to do a completely stripped down show from the beginning and chose for JA to close. In WBP he played for an hour and a half and without an encore (due to tech problems). In Tampa he played just over an hour and a half and did an encore (Hurt). He also has been changing his setlist every night and doing things NIN has never done before (see reflectinginthechome.com for the different setlists) for example at our show he opened with "Home" and the next night in Tampa he opened with "Now I'm Nothing" with only roughly 4 of the same songs played at both shows. And while, yes, I agree that the production could have been much better I also understand that to do the variying shows, thus allowing fans that are going to multiple shows to have a different expierience each night, this was not a possibility. I also think that due to this factor JA was asked to close and have a bigger (produciton wise) show, as thier setlist would be the same. And as for your SSSC comments goe..well you are definatly one in a few that thinks they "blow". I, and everyone else I know that saw them at BOTH of the shows I saw thought they kicked ass. I also don't agree that "Tom Morello" carried them. SSSC is Tom and Boots, just like NIN is Trent. Everyone else are just extras. And I don't think ANYONE can say that Boots did not kick ass as a frontman. As far as your "$400 in a bar" remark goes...they didn't form and then have Tom join. Tom and Boots created this band together, so playing in bars for $400 were never an option in the first place, and while Tom has a bigger following than Boots, Boots does have a nice following as well from his days with his pervious band. So, while your comments are valid because they are your opinion, many of your remarks are shallow due to the fact that all of the tour information has been available for several weeks now, and you could have known all of this from the beginning of the tour in WPB where the entire show is available on the net, you just didn't do any research and came up short not knowing what to expect. At first I was completly shocked and disappointed that these shows were going to be like this, and really didn't care about JA. But after reading all of the posts and Trents posts I knew what to expect, and after knowing what to expect...well it actually blew my expectations away.
