i am looking forward to not being able to guess what songs are coming next, and it looks like becoming has replaced closer. double win.

Try looking at www.nin.com/tour

And Becoming did not replace closer, as it is not played at each show...just per Trent's inverview they will not be playing closer at all.

touche. they are listed as support. i guess trent needed support headlining the shows.

and I am aware of all the interviews/tweets/posts. pick a song that gets played around seventh or eighth. that is the song that replaces closer. grinning smiley I am just happy to see it not on the setlist. It has been played to death both radio and live. heresy, becoming, and i do not want this have all made it into the setlist now.

He is talking about JA being under the 'support' column on this websites upcoming shows list:

[tour.nin.com]

But as I tried to point out, someone made a web page for this website and they put all the standard columns: date, city, venue, ticket info and supporting acts. So now they have the NINJA tour where Jane's is also on the lineup but not really 'supporting' in the way most people think of a supporting band but what do you think they should have done? Not list Jane's as being on the show because they don't really fit under that 'supporting' column?

I guess in reality all of the bands on the tour are supporting it since they are all on the bill and all trying to bring fans/sell tickets to make the tour a success. NIN is supporting the NINJA tour too cause without NIN Jane's and Street Sweeper would not sell as many tickets. So there ya go. Someones job is to fill the show info into the forum and they put Jane's in the column where they put the other bands on the bill. Go seek the guy out and question the hell out of him if you want but it won't chance anything.

I just noticed another thing about that upcoming show page. According to it there are supposed to be 4 bands on the tour!!!

As well as NIN they list:

Jane's Addiction
Street Sweeper
Social Club

I think we should add that to the list of ways we have been misled/fucked over on this tour.

Well, I've looked through all setlists to date, and I must say: this tour fucking rocks hard core. Wish I could be there, wish I could see it. However, I want to thank everyone that has uploaded vids and pics of the "magno eventos".

Regarding the set times, I think seeing nin perform live in the summertime states-side absolutely rules. You guys are fucking lucky.

Back to watching cheezy Chilean soap operas. Fuck.

Coming down off NIN with JA was fucking genius. Extended O. The LV show rocked and awed. Sad to hear it's the last tour. Hey Rodrigo, go to youtube. The Las Vegas show was astounding and a few videos are posted there too.

Worst NIN show ever. They played for a little more than an hour. Mostly older stuff when I had my hopes set to hear some stuff off of Ghost or Year Zero. No LED screen because they didn't want to out show JA. Trent, I know you are trying to be humble but bullshit. You let your fans down. If you don't come out to San Diego CA and bring some visuals and play some of your new stuff, then T00L is going to out do you for best band ever. I mean, come on. NIN as an opener, please, give me a break.

Who the hell cares if he has one post if he speaks the truth? I agree with him fully. I saw them on 5/20 in Irvine, CA. The production was just half-assed. Trent gave it his all like usual, but the stage felt really stripped down, like they were doing some in-promtu garage rehearsal. Only other time I have seen NIN was in 2000 on The Fragility tour, and it stands heads and shoulders above this pitiful show. All of you people who are staying just for Nails would be well advised to stay for the entire show. I'm not nearly as big a Jane's Fan as NIN, but they completely out-played NIN. I guess what it really comes down to is that I expected more from a fucking FAREWELL tour. It's your LAST TOUR and you play for a little over an hour, including no encore, and open and close with Terrible Lie and Head like a Hole, respectively. Great songs, but what the fuck? Worst farewell show ever.

Oh, and SSSC fucking blows. Shut up all you fucking fanbois. They are being completely and entirely carried by Tom Morello. Make no mistake about it. If he weren't in the band, they'd still be playing bars for $400 a night.

My thoughts on this:

Playing until ???, whoa now that's a party! (seriously, yes, I will be staying for JA...until ???). BYOB!

And that this is secretly a plot so Trent can leave the venue earlier and avoid rabid fans.

I guess you have not been following what has been going on. Unfortunatly Trent wanted to do a completely stripped down show from the beginning and chose for JA to close. In WBP he played for an hour and a half and without an encore (due to tech problems). In Tampa he played just over an hour and a half and did an encore (Hurt). He also has been changing his setlist every night and doing things NIN has never done before (see reflectinginthechome.com for the different setlists) for example at our show he opened with "Home" and the next night in Tampa he opened with "Now I'm Nothing" with only roughly 4 of the same songs played at both shows. And while, yes, I agree that the production could have been much better I also understand that to do the variying shows, thus allowing fans that are going to multiple shows to have a different expierience each night, this was not a possibility. I also think that due to this factor JA was asked to close and have a bigger (produciton wise) show, as thier setlist would be the same. And as for your SSSC comments goe..well you are definatly one in a few that thinks they "blow". I, and everyone else I know that saw them at BOTH of the shows I saw thought they kicked ass. I also don't agree that "Tom Morello" carried them. SSSC is Tom and Boots, just like NIN is Trent. Everyone else are just extras. And I don't think ANYONE can say that Boots did not kick ass as a frontman. As far as your "$400 in a bar" remark goes...they didn't form and then have Tom join. Tom and Boots created this band together, so playing in bars for $400 were never an option in the first place, and while Tom has a bigger following than Boots, Boots does have a nice following as well from his days with his pervious band. So, while your comments are valid because they are your opinion, many of your remarks are shallow due to the fact that all of the tour information has been available for several weeks now, and you could have known all of this from the beginning of the tour in WPB where the entire show is available on the net, you just didn't do any research and came up short not knowing what to expect. At first I was completly shocked and disappointed that these shows were going to be like this, and really didn't care about JA. But after reading all of the posts and Trents posts I knew what to expect, and after knowing what to expect...well it actually blew my expectations away.

And again, as I have pointed out SEVERAL times JA is part of the tour name itself and thus mentioned on the tour page from the beginning. By mentioning them as "support" and not mentioning as a "co-headliner" no where except for in posts it is very misleading. So again, yes, they should not have mentioned them in the support column. The show was marketed, advertised, and presented on this website (by listing JA as support) and especically on the ticketing websites as a NIN show foremost with JA. So, if you have someone that is not doing "research" and just hears about the show, looks on the tour page and then clicks on the link to buy the tickets there is NO reason why they wouldn't assume that NIN is closing. And from looking at the DAILY posts about the shows there are many people that are STILL shocked that NIN is not the closer. And to re-iterate a previous point that is true from the shows about "co-headlining", the actual closer "usually gets more time, has more room on stage, and has a better show". So, two out of three were correct. Now I'm sure you, or someone else that has been posting against my posts, will come along ans bring up something (again) totally off point of what the truth is to try to discredit my comments or re-iterate another opinion (rather than fact) to try to insult me. But so far, from my record, I have been right about most things and have proven them with fact.

Don't know what the giggle is for, cuz Mayhem, being cheaper for the same seats and having 14 bands and an awesome motocross show as well as free drinks...well don't know how you can beat that. While MM and Slayer are def. not JA and NIN this show is going to rock the fuck out. I went last year and had a great time with Disturbed (especially) and Slipknot (don't care tooo much for most of the music, but thier show was off the chain production wise).

UMM I think you're talking about David Bowie...and yes he did, and they did mid-show song collaborations while the bands were chagning the sets, so its a lil different. NIN and JA don't do any collaboration or songs together. (so far)

Hi all
I'm going to the show Sunday at Jones Beach, but working that afternoon.
Approximately what time do the bands go on?
The show is scheduled for 7...I may not get there before 8...
will I miss the start of NIN?

If you've been to any shows, can you tell me
what time the show was scheduled to start
and what time each band went on
&/or how long the sets were.

I dont' want to miss a thing

Thanks for your help.
