"Chicago show times (SO STOP BUGGING ME ABOUT THIS) Doors: 7 SSSS: 8 NIN: 9"

Okay, now that I look at this again..... since that 10 pm ordinance is in effect, we only get 1 hour of NIN? Just wondering.

Sure does...."great" isn't it? All these people bitching that JA is closing (Id kill to see them live) and Chicago doesn't even get a full set + no JA.

Chicago fans have been questioning these times for just this reason...and by the artist...this is considered "bugging him" ....thanks....no really.

Chicago will get an even longer than usual set so QUIT YOUR FUCKING BITCHING ABOUT THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT.

Seriously guys you need to leave this alone. Just be happy you are going. Trent's given you all the info you NEED to know. Just leave it alone.

I cant believe people are bitching about this its 3 amazing Bands on 1 bill all do a great live show and NIN not ending the night is not a big deal. The Bowie tour is still considered one of the best live tours ever done. NIN opened for Bowie on that and it was amazing If you leave early and miss something you will regret it I went to NIN / Bowie and it was mind blowing I for one am looking forward to see what happens on this tour between NINJA !!!!

Trent - I'm not sure what you were expecting from your fans. OF COURSE this was going to happen.

And no, I won't be one of the ones leaving for JA - I'll be rocking out on the rail (or being pummeled against it). But, I don't think any sort of reconciliation from you or anyone else is going to help redirect the naysayers toward a bright truth (no - not even Meathead).

Some people are just going to be asshats, no matter what.

Thats true. Some people (pathetic people) just like to bitch and complain.

Not everyone is going to be satisfied, it is just impossible. Trent puts way more thought into these shows then 90% of the "artist" out there. So please stop being dicks about this.

Exactly my point that I made earlier. I would be tired, actually I am tired of all the bitching that people are doing. Greedy little fuckers. ME ME ME ME ME ME ME.

Trent has way more patience than me. I'd have gotten bent out of shape and posted for people to shut the fuck up a LONG time ago

While you're at it, maybe you can get some bonus footage for your cool DVD that's still not done yet!

I got pulled over for speeding on the way to the Bowie show. LOL, I quit my job about an hour earlier to go to that show. Ah, the memories...lol

You all have fun hating your favorite band NIN for going on second and not last. I am going to go home now and leave you to your bitching. And while I am going home I will be blasting some NINJA music.

Enjoy your night.

SO WHO WANTS TO SELL ME THEIR SEATED TICKET FOR TORONTO? I'M STILL WAITING. OR ARE YOU ALL DONE BEING PISSED ABOUT THE SET LIST? smoking smiley

04/28/09 6:59 PM

wow, for the $150 i spent on a floor ticket for the vegas show, i was kinda hoping i would be forced to watch Janes Addiction and get my moneys worth. Plan B, See nin and drink until i forget i spent almost 3 times as much as i did when NIN came in December.

04/28/09 6:59 PM

Honestly, I think it's disrespectful for people to be complaining about this.
Here is a man who has works really hard & does a fantastic job. He deserves respect & almost everyone is whining.... do you enjoy being disrespectful? How would you feel if you had your hard work & decision/schedule making thrown back in your face by some whiny rude selfish people?
If you have the Privilege to go to this show(s) be happy, enjoy it. NIN/JA isn't playing everywhere.... I had the privilege to go all the way to Florida from here in Alaska to visit a family member. Then, I had an amazing PRIVILEGE to go to Tennessee to see a friend AND attend the NIN show on Halloween night 2008. It was amazing! I felt SO HAPPY & GRATEFUL that I finally got to see a band, that I have been listening to since approx 7th grade, play live. I STILL feel grateful, especially since he & the band has been working so hard for so long & wants to take a well deserved break.
And if some amazing thing happens in the universe that allows me to be able to attend one of these shows, you can bet I'll enjoy every minute of it.
I for one am very grateful to Trent for everything, all these years. Thank you & enjoy the whole experience smiling smiley
Much love & respect always,
Jaime smiling smiley

Keep in mind an awful lot of thought has gone into this decision - certainly MUCH more than most of the comments here. The beauty of the situation is this: if you want to leave, LEAVE. Nobody's forcing you to stay - go home.
The show NIN is going to play is the exact opposite of LITS. The sets will be truly varied, there's no production limitations and we know a LOT of material now. I wanted play first, and I wanted to start the set in daylight. If you're here reading and frothing on this board, you're likely a fan. You've likely seen us recently - this is a chance to see something quite different. JA is not bigger than us and we're not bigger than JA - this is an issue of respect and simply WHAT I WANT TO DO because I do have a master plan here. Open up your minds for a second and lay off the knee-jerk reactionary bullshit for a second - it's embarrassing for all of us.

There is a method to his madness... now SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

I was actually just saying this on Twitter "Not to mention that Trent has done nothing but promise us an amazing tour with lots of surprises and we know he will give us that".

I will be at two shows and expect them to be two of the best nights of my life.

and Trent said ... "Let there be NIN|JA" and it was so.

and Trent said ... "Let there be a multitude of dates that all may come to the show who wish to enjoy this bountiful triage of music" and it was so.

and Trent said ... "Let there be a relaxed camera/recorder policy" and it was so.

and Trent said ... "let there be appreciation upheld for Janes Addiction and all they brought to this Earth and all they did for Nine Inch Nails. Let them end each show in a kick ass way" and it was so.. and he saw that it was good.

and when Trent looked out upon what He had created... He saw that it was good...

He also saw that no matter what you give, what you do, what you plan, what you give up, what you change, what you allow, what you keep.... it is of no matter to so many.

Thank you Trent... thank you for doing so much to make this the most kick ass show. I truly appreciate you and your staff.

04/28/09 7:06 PM

Hmmm... wonder if there will be a transition like there has been with past shows....like NIN and jane's do something together then NIN just sort of disapears instead of the "thank you good night" ending...
if there is a transition song I predict that it will be "in this twilight"... as NIN leaves the stage Perry launches into a monologue about how we should pray that the aliens come and show us the way...
just a speculation...

I ask questions by nature - I've always been that way. I like to know everything I possibly can to guarantee (as much as is possible) that nothing will go wrong. It comes with being a compulsive worrier after having 99% of my life go wrong. I have to spend a lot of money to make this trip, so I am just trying to plan it all out as best I can. I spent a lot of money on Minneapolis that was non-refundable and ended up having it cancelled without being able to make the rescheduled date. I've also had a concert in the past get cancelled for another group the afternoon of the show after I'd already driven to see it (and we're not talking a 10 minute drive.) So, I have horrendously bad luck with concerts, and I'm only trying to make sure, and/or hope, that nothing will go wrong this time around.

I want to be surprised by the set list and all the other amazing things NIN will do - I'm only asking for times just so I have that info at my disposal. As I stated earlier, I am in no way bitching about anything, nor was I one of the individuals who bothered him on Twitter for this info. I asked here hoping that someone in Chicago would have more details because I live 6 hours away and wouldn't have a clue about all the local rules and regulations. I am excited as all hell to see NIN because this will be the first and maybe only time I ever will get to see them after being a fan for 15 years. I'm upset that Trent's upset and everyone's upset...... agh, it's frustrating. Can't we all just be happy for pete's sake?

04/28/09 7:07 PM

To all of the people who want to bitch,

Respect the man, respect his methods and QUIT FUCKING WHINING.

Love,

Me
