pask member Joined: 11/27/07 Posts: 2,380	i've got an old 10 gig [or something like that] ipod, one of the old white ones that i rarely, if ever, use - the fucker only lasts about 30 minutes before it shits itself, it's a cunt to transfer mp3's across to, the progs i had to install just to transfer the songs is fucking ridiculous, it's a total waste of money for anyone who actually bought one. lucky i didn't buy mine, a friend had 2 and gave me one. cheap asian $50 mp3 players work so much better with no other bullshit required. as for iphone, i never wanted one from the start. no matter how much advertising and nin gear is on the thing, i'll never buy one. if everyone suddenly hates apple, why did they waste so much money on them? it's like people bitching about how fucked microsoft is, yet they buy xbox 360 after xbox 360 every time they got the RROD, and kept buying new eeel-eats, falcons, phoenixes or whatever the fuck model they're flogging lately. if a company is a rip off and fucking with your products - go somewhere else - stop throwing money at them. Until someone with a lick of sense gets it under control, Apple will continue to look like a bunch of idiots. Doesn't matter if they stomp all over BlackBerry — the App Store is too important for them to be in denial over this dysfunctional arm of the company. iPhone: cool. App Store "policies": not cool. Microsoft could do better than that, assuming anyone wanted to develop for a Windows Mobile app store ... which is the whole stupid point. Developers want to make apps for the iPhone, and Apple is doing everything it can to get in their way and piss them off. Stupid. As I said to them in a feedback message, it smacks of low-level bureaucrats making decisions that should be left to people who know what they're doing. No one over there will ever read it, but it made me feel better. For about 30 seconds.

But this is ridiculous. And the email does not clearly state what is wrong with the app itself, if its the song, or the album, or the 'brand name' of tds, if there was one . . A lot of people are right in stating that there are some truly retarded apps out there, this is an app that takes the platform to a new level, a truly innovative piece of work. And once more, he's given it away for free, something that has some of his money and time put into is anyone's for nothing at all . . Apple as a company can be really stupid sometimes, I only hope that they come around, and realize how unhappy they are making a lot of people . .

I was thoroughly deceived, I was convinced they were the way to go to escape nasty Microsoft. From what I hear when they put something out, they don't need to have hundreds of patches to fix it. So the equipment's good but the company isn't. Now I see they're no better than the rest of the world. I've also ended my love affair with Virgin. If they had such a problem with the content, they should have at least brought this up in initial discussions upon the apps first submittal for approval.
