West Palm Beach, FL: Kittens in need of home

This is from Ali, who works on our crew:

Some members of our crew found three stray kittens while working at the Cruzan Amphitheater here in West Palm Beach, Florida. They're about 4-5 weeks old and completely adorable (pictures attached). Sadly no one on the tour is able to care for them, so we're looking to find good, safe homes for them from someone in the area. They are too young to travel so this is for local people only.

They require a lot of care, and will need to get shots and spayed/neutered when they are age appropriate. Not looking for someone with dogs or who is gone all day - ideally someone who has or has had cats & spends a lot of time at home. Must be fed every 4-6 hours and must be given a small dose of heart worm medication once a day via dropper. Extremely cute, well behaved and pretty quiet. Will pretty much sleep through the night if given a lot of play time and a full belly. They are about 95% potty trained and extremly affectionate.

Anyone responding must be totally serious and caring. Would like to meet beforehand and show the kittens to make sure everyone knows what they are getting into. This is not a chance to meet the band or go backstage, the kittens have nothing to do with NIN...they were just found at the venue. The tour would love to take them, but it's just not possible.

If you're really, really interested and understand the responsibilities of caring for a baby animal, don't reply to this thread, just contact Ali at wpb.kittens@gmail.com

Thanks!

UPDATE: WE'VE FOUND GREAT HOMES FOR ALL THREE KITTENS. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

*dies from the cuteness*

Thank God I'm in Toledo or my four feline kids would have a new little sibling.

05/06/09 7:42 AM

My brother Bob lives in WPB, I'm going to call him right now. That tabby is so cute!

05/06/09 7:47 AM

Can someone photoshop a LOLcat macro on those pictures please? It would get more people to adopt those fuzzy little things!

05/06/09 7:50 AM

God, they're beautiful! I don't doubt they'll go to a loving new home! Very cool thing for you guys to do, btw thumbs up

05/06/09 7:56 AM

Stuff like this is why I love following you guys. Good luck finding them homes! *crosses fingers* I would totally take the little calico if I were anywhere near CA, she's adorable....

05/06/09 7:58 AM

I would if I could. Being in Australia is a bit of a problem though...

Not a joke, I WOULD take at least one of them...

Why didn't this happen in Indiana or Illinois??

I hope someone takes care of them soon....

05/06/09 8:15 AM

how sweet! damn I wish I lived near there... my cat died 6 months ago sad smiley o well

05/06/09 8:15 AM

If you find some kittens in NY/NJ I'll have a loving home for them. My family and I have had cats all our lives, and have three elderly ones that need some youths in their lives.

NIN-world seems to have gone completely topsy-turvy... love, rom-coms, fluffy kittehs... what's next?
Trent leaving bunny wabbits in the loos after every gig? Imagine the mess when people start looking for the embedded MP3s...

;- )

05/06/09 8:26 AM

I wish I can help out but unfortunately I too have found stray kitties earlier this week just weeks old. It's alot of work, but maybe can find someone that can foster them like I will do with mine when they are big enough. You guys rock for doing this!!!

05/06/09 8:36 AM

Those look older than 4-5 weeks to me. (I have 6 cats). Sometimes when you find kittens alone, it might mean they are part of a litter that the mother is moving, because she can only move one at a time. I'm sorry I can't take them.

I've got some in-laws in the WPB area but I doubt they would be able to take care of any of them. But this is a very sweet gesture that will bring everyone on the tour good karma.

did anyone else scroll down to the pics expecting to see Brent with whiskers and a collar??

These kittens look older, like about 8 weeks. For those who adopt them, you can check your local humane society for low-cost vaccination clinics and low-cost spay/nueter. Also, some pet stores offer vaccine clinics too. These programs help save you a lot of money vs. going to a private vet office.

I already have 4 cats, so good luck finding them homes!

05/06/09 9:50 AM

That is so cool that you guys rescued them! I'm in CA unfortunately so I can't help out and adopt one of these cute little things, I would love to have the tabby in the 2nd picture though! Good luck finding them homes, you guys are awesome, good karma all around

05/06/09 9:54 AM

I love that they have to put "the kittens have nothing to do with NIN". You know there are peeps out there who might be thinking that Trent will be the actual one handing over the kitties to them. LOL!

Anywho, I am a total cat lover...I have two. But I live in Michigan, so going to get them would be not so easy. I hope they find a great, loving home. They are super adorable!!!!!
