Texas, morning. On the submarine, in the rain. Feeling compelled to candid expression:

Last night was remarkable, perhaps a culmination of the first three nights. I felt...overcome. Something happens that defies the crudeness of language. Almost drowning, high on it. Pleasure and pain. Then, reveling in the enormous, shared emotional release.

We are living in the moment. Every note, every lyric. Thank you for joining in, completing the picture.

Gratitude. I will never forget.

JMJ

I'm glad to hear you are having such a great time, Justin! I wish it will continue for the rest of the tour.

I can't wait to see all of you guys in Toronto. Take care!

Keep it up. The videos have been fantabulous.

You and the crew will be sorely missed in Santiago Chile. But I understand that with a tour like this, spreading yourselves too thin wouldn't be the way to go.

Paz y amor from south-of-the-equator.

Thank you so much for sharing this -- and thank you for sharing those every notes, those every lyrics, with us.

Y'all have had my gratitude for nearly two decades - and you deserve thousandsfold more.

Looking forward to IL and MI... to both having my face melted off and feeling the music deeply enough to weep like the dork I am.

Take care, you! smiling smiley I hope every day is precisely what you all want and need it to be!

That's so funny, that's the exact same thing I thought after each show!

I got some really nice pictures. Thanks for not staying behind the keyboard the whole time! I love this lineup & the lighting but there's an awful lot of stuff in front of you guys on stage... I had to try and catch you all in between mics and lightstands. But the pictures still look good.

Wish I had said hi after WPB but you looked like you were ready to leave back there and I didn't want to bother you. Maybe another time.

Thanks for everything. This has been an amazing run so far. Hoping for many more but I guess that's not in the cards right now...

We thank you SO much for everything Justin! It was great talking to you and rocking out with you in WPB, Tampa and the ATL. I hope you got some sleep on the bus last night. See you again soon in Cali!!

well said.

I haven't felt the way I felt after the show last night in a really long time. Something just clicked last night --- and it carried through the whole night, beyond NIN. It felt right, it felt great. It was one to remember, for sure.

Safe travels.
see you again soon.

Good to hear! can't wait to see you guys at the end of the month!

ok Question mr. J- what is your favorite NIN song to play live?

05/11/09 6:03 PM

I totally get the "pleasure and pain…enormous shared emotional release." It's what I crave and why I attend as many NIN concerts as I can. It means a lot that you get it, too.

05/11/09 5:25 PM

Sounds like you could be describing a very good orgy... or a venerable rock show.

05/11/09 7:08 PM

Is there really a difference? winking smiley

05/11/09 7:23 PM

Oh now you come online? AND NO SA DATE?
How dare you.

I kid sir.

Glad you guys are having a blast grinning smiley

Whoa... that's really deep. pleasure and pain- something so good it hurts.
as for the raw emotion, i have a feeling i will laughing and crying at the same time when i see you guys in TO and PA. And i cant wait!!
Thanks for this awesome life experience.

I love you JMJ.

I have printed out that picture of when you first cut off the FRO... to carry with me on the roadtrip to the next 3 shows. It's my inspiration.

Because my hair just got FUBARED when I went to get it trimmed yesterday. I brought in a picture of Trent with longish hairstyle. Specifically told the lady that I wanted it to be a little longer than in the picture, in other words about a 1 inch trim except purging all of the wild hair in the back that had gotten too unruly. (God damn my wavy hair).

Anyway, what I ended up with was like SHORT hair, she chopped EVERYTHING off except leaving some pathetically sad varying length bang-like locks at the very front. You can clearly see in this picture that longish hair is coming down from the top and layered and she did something to my hair that was not even remotely like that. You would have thought she never cut hair before in her life. Oh, you'd like a trim? Here, let me cut off all your hair except a couple strands up front to sit on your face. Super, you look JUST like him!

05/12/09 5:28 PM

how poetic...welcome to Austin.

05/13/09 3:32 PM

Justin,

I really enjoyed the Austin show. I don't know about the others but I was jumping/dancing/singing the whole time. My daughter would have but she was trying to film.

Saw you back stage, but I didn't want to bother you or take up any of your time as we had already met you backstage in Tulsa. Anyway, thanks again for an awesome performance...eventho I did not say it in person.

Good luck on the rest of the tour!
